sometimes you just have to punt certain positions. consider it done. I have punted catching.

Hey guys, got a request. Not a huge deal but while I'm at work I am at the mercy of my blackberry which doesn't allow me to jump pages in a forum, I have to scroll through page by page. So if it's not a big deal can we use this chat thread for comments and the draft thread for picks? Nothing worse than waiting for 9 pages to load to find that there are no new picks.

Having said that, I will live either way, it would just make it a whole lot easier for me, cheers

I think that is a good idea, just for common courtesy.  I removed al of my non draft related post and most of the "Updated" post.  It knocked about a page off the totals.   

Even though I don't pick for Round 3 till 9:30 and Round 4 right after, I've already called the the two Players we're going to pick, to inform them that I plan on Drafting them.

I just Drafted Billy Williams as my Team's Clean Up Hitter.  Eddie Collins and Ty Cobb are thrilled!

And my next pick was Jesse Barnes P-Yes I finally have a Pitcher and a pretty good one too.  Wins 20 in 1920 and then continues on till 1924 with plenty of decent ings.

Do I really just have three players?  I feel like this process is about half done.  I guess its been a while since I started a progressive.  I keep imagining that my team will be made up of the players on my lists and then they get taken and I bring up the next tier, and so on.  I felt like an old pro when we started and now its more like scouting ping-pong players from Holland.  Who are these 1920s guys?

Greener88--I think it just goes to show that a) your analysis of players is similar to other managers, and b) this will be a competitive league.   Of course there are two primary strats as some have been drafting a "win now" roster and others are "future" oriented.

i agree Mike.Thats why i am beginning to think that new progressive leagues ask owners to pay for 3 seasons so we don't have guys playing 21 and out and screwing up the rest of the league.I do realize that in these difficult economic times that is a tough sell

I'm starting to worry about the fact that players are being chosen that I didn't even have on my longlist, good players too. This might be a problem for me in the mid to late rounds. I might have to hire some of outbackers staff away from him.... or take a sick day.
