Everyone would be better off if they stop feeding colonels. He tries his damnedest to be Villain #1 with his posts. He has quite a bit of attention whore in him as evidenced by this thread and when he was practically begging to be selected for a WIS interview.
I don't try to be a villain its just that im very stout in the stances and viewpoints i take and they're largely minority viewpoints...not by my choosing per se, its just honestly the way that i feel. Certainly my past reputation helps cause these things get out of hand, but for as much as you may claim me to be an attention whore, there are people that equally go as hard and come out of the woodwork to refute me/my viewpoints, so it goes both ways.

Tell me an interview w me wouldnt be good...at the very least tell me who's would be read more...i'm good for everyone ;)

Your interview would be a complete waste of all of our time.

Just having multiple teams does not mean you cheat.  Having multiple teams means you can learn a lot more from more experiences.  When this game started, I had 4 and in some cases 5 teams in multiple worlds.  It was not because I was cheating, it was because I enjoyed the game and had plenty of free time.

Granted unlike the situation in the OP, I never scheduled my own team for OOC games.  There was a time or 2 before we were able to schedule our own games that I ended up playing my own team, but it was not fun knowing I was going to lose one of my games.

I became one of the most successful coaches in this game in the early half of this game's existence by trial and error.  I had about 16-20 teams in 5 different worlds going at one point.  As a result I had a LOT of opportunities to try new things.  I've always had the mentality of high risk means high reward, and so on the high risk parts of the game, I would try it out on one team and if it worked I would continue to use it on the rest of my teams.  If it didn't, I would be hurt on 1 of 16 teams, so it wasn't that bad.  This is how I think the top coaches are utilizing their other teams.  I'm certain there are some coaches who do cheat, but I wouldn't say we are in the small minority of those who do not cheat.  Then again, I might be one of the few with integrity and naive to think others are the same way.
i don't think you are, although, i often wonder if i am being naive, too. i think that most people enjoy strategy games, the competitive and whatever nature of it. "winning" in a strategy game by cheating pretty much invalidates the feeling of satisfaction, 100%, for me. when i was a kid, i would cheat in card games when i had NO respect for the competition, because i was bored i guess, and it was more amusing than the game, but never would think of doing it when i respected my competition. anyway, without money involved, i just don't see most people cheating at something they have any respect for - and if you look at the time put in by most of the coaches in this game - i think most of them respect the game and their competition.
Just to clarify , you're saying that in your opinion cheating is justified as long as you have no respect for the competition.  Wow, that's...............interesting.
Since CBG seems to be looking at the forums today, thought I'd bump this and see if he'll clarify for us......

I think that you're right, dac. CBG was not saying it was right, he was simply stating he did it because he "wasn't having fun" and did not respect the game. There is a fine line he is walking, but I don't interpret it as promoting or condoning cheating,

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.  He could have been 17 or 18 when he was referring to himself as a kid.  And to say that he did it because he "wasn't having fun" is just a cop-out.  By that rationale, all anyone who wants to cheat has to say is that they "weren't having fun" or "didn't respect the game".  Funny that everyone jumps on Colonels when he alledges that he cheated, but this admission gets a free pass.  Some really hypocritical folks around here.......
