With 18 players on his roster, I'm thinking that razorclams is the early favorite . . . . . . .

I wouldnt go that far...  Its not how many you get & how quick, its how good they are, quality counts!  It might be that the last few to fill their teams have the advantage, due to eventual lack of competition selecting their players?  razorclams picks in the 1st round Menke, Whitaker, Leonard could have been around in the 2nd or maybe in the 3rd rounds?  His 2nd round guys might have lasted another round or 2 also - If they would have been Koufax, Gibson, Aaron, Musial, Maris & Mantle - it might be differant?  None of his picks really stand out, they are just Very average players, Of course nobody wanted those guys in round 1 or 2, most of us were waiting for later rounds for those guys!  Sorry, I dont mean to be so harsh, Im just saying that the rest of us still have a chance!?

bigkochman has a pretty good 1-2 punch in the rotation with Gibson and McLain.  With all of their innings, he might be able to use a 3 1/2 man rotation and get them both 45 starts.

Like my Dad use to say . . . "Hold the Phone." . . . . I admit I spoke prior to doing any research . . . . and yes, player names aren't hall of famers . . . but:

Menke:  .304/.392/... 172 hits . . . 92 rbi's
Whitaker:  .320/.380..457 . . . 206 hits . . . 40 doubles
Round 2
Soto:  chose a 1.06 or 1.10 Whip season
Moseby:  .315/.376/.499 . . . . 170 hits . . . 31 doubles and 27 stolen bases
Alou:   .327 with 31 home runs and 218 hits
Harper:  179 hits with 31 home runs and 38 stolen bases.

Likely yet another playoff team for razor-man . . . . .

Of course . . . razor loses the WS to Tucker . . . . . . .
