It takes all of 5 seconds re reload. Oh, and the AR-15 jammed. But hey, details.
Is that an official time that was measured in the heat of that kind of moment? Or just a time you're pulling out of your ***. 5 times 12 is an extra minute. Perhaps someone tackles him while reloading. To say there is no difference is ludicrous.
"Heat of the moment". Because you are going to be very nervous when you are shooting at a theater full of unarmed people and you're wearing body armor.
12 rounds? Are you serious. Most sidearms have more rounds per mag.
There is a difference. A very slight one. But you're right. In your fantasy world of a panic stricken theater, "perhaps someone tackles him."
I hear the company who owns the theater has designated all their theaters "no gun zones". Works well.
Yeah, a dorky scientist with zero history of violence is going to waltz into a crowded theatre to shoot as many people as he can and he's not going to feel any bit of nervousness or excitement. Another day at the office. Get real. I'll bet he would have tried to fire for 5 seconds before realizing he was out of ammo.
9 mm's might hold 15ish, but most guns don't.
