It's the closest thing we can get. I didn't miss a thing.

Basically, you're agreeing with me that Coach K isn't calling some kid a week before signing day and saying "Hey, we just had a spot open up. I know I haven't contacted you before but......what you think of being a Blue Devil??"

That's what these griping clowns are doing. Ignore the recruit then think he'd be a great fall back plan but, sad face, he signed before they could offer or signed with someone who showed the player a lot more love.
But the three D1 schools in this case did have offers in. Yes, a kid would pick going to a Big 6 school on an athletic scholarship over a no name D2 school...
For the bajillionth time. We have a matter of DAYS to recruit in HD. In real life they have YEARS. How in the world can you attempt to compare the two.
I'm not the one that started the comparison, Mike is. This is what he does....throws out a claim that he has no facts over and deflects from the initial discussion to kill the true discussion.

The point is that a recruit in HD shouldn't pick a D2 school over 3 Big 6 D1 schools that are at very high with scholarship offers.
That wasn't intended towards you mets. That was to mike. I just kept going on the chain.
Then don't tell me what a kid would do in real-life if you don't want to talk realism.

Pretty simple.
Mike, were you ever recruited for a sport in college? And I'm not talking about in fantasy land like CoachWard's Duke claim, I'm talking about in reality.
Oh, are we going to discuss real-life now or are you going to refuse when the conversation doesn't go your way?
12/31/2016 3:23 PM
Elon loses to Duke - this game is rigged towards the high prestige teams! I'm going to play HBD!
Duke loses to Some D2 school - Boohoohoo. Thems the breaks.

And a D1 school shouldn't ignore the player during RS1 then expect to get him in RS2.
Deflect. Deflect. Deflect.

If that's the case then they shouldn't be listed at very high then.
They sure were. And they lost. Boohoohoo.

Now tell me, in real life, that would never happen. Then refuse to discuss the real-life aspects of recruiting.
You're completely making up the comparison that they are contacting the recruit in the last day. Since when have we equated the second period of recruiting to being the equivalent of a week in real life? No one except you has said that. You pulled it out of thin air like 75% of the other things that you say.

If you haven't ever been recruited in your life, I'd say your claim that it doesn't ever happen is baseless because you have no experience in that arena. Unlike you I was actually recruited for a sport coming out of high school. You like to throw **** at a wall and see if it sticks.

Second half of my senior year...it wasn't even D1 but all I'm saying is that you have no knowledge of what you're talking about, just what you THINK it would be like. What kind of idiot would pick to go to a little no name D2 school over a Big 6 D1 school. You'd have to be one dumb sack to make that decision.

and I can tell you that if a D1 school had offered me a scholarship before I decided what school I was going to I would have ditched where I was going to go to the major level.

Were you just wanting to brag about your high school career? I was invited to a MLB tryout my senior year. MLB >>>> D2 school

You already agreed with me. Schools do not contact recruits at the last minute. They make contact while they're still playing HS ball.

There is no 'last minute' in HD. Stop comparing the concept of time in HD to real life. It's idiotic.

What? Do you not understand how time works?

You have the end of RS1.
Then 13 days later, you have the start of RS2.
A couple of days after that you have the end of RS2.

There is a last minute in every facet of life. HD doesn't have a time miracle where there is no "last minute". It's just stupid to pretend that HD defies time. Is that your contention?
