During BLM protests that was a sign of police overreach/militarization.

Of the people at the "Stop the Steal" rally in DC, how many participated in the storming of the capital? Of the people in the BLM protests this summer, the largest political movement in American history, how many participated in looting or rioting? I don't think it can be denied that the former is larger than the latter, and not by an insignificant margin. A 1 to 1 comparison would be Joe Biden saying that police are the enemy of the people, and holding a Biden rally where thousands of his supporters gathered with Biden gear and flags, were told to walk up and protest at a police station, and then stormed the station. And even then, I think there's more moral justification (even if I think it's wrong) for residents of Minneapolis, for example, to burn down the police precinct of Derek Chauvin than there is for Trump supporters to storm the US capital.A far right agitator from Texas burned down the Minneapolis police station.

Not all riots are equal. This was an attempted coup. Yet another reason why arguing that this and the BLM stuff is analogous is pretty disingenuous in my view.
