I think you're in, but amerk is the one who has to confirm it. He left proxy picks today, so I guess he wasn't gonna be around tonight. I have you listed as the 24th pick which means you'll be picking 25th also.

edsortails IS indeed in. I have not heard back from smokey and I am pretty concerned about that since he never responded to my LAST inquiry before or during the LAST DDL league. If ANYONE knows if smokey is ok, would you PLEASE let me know!

Anyways, page one has been correctly updated with edsortails in at 24.

Now as for redbooda....he deserves as long a shot to make his 1st round pick as anyone and maybe more. He has been a longtime DDL owner and works weird hours, so I am going to give him a long leash. If he has not picked by 6 pm Saturday, I will pick for him and then he can
A. Be happy with that pick and keep his team and take over drafting.
B. NOT be happy with that pick and declare himself out of the DDL 34 draft, and I will just take on a 2nd team. OR
C. just never shows up at all and I end up with a 2nd team.

Yeah, we're not looking to take his pick, we just want to contact him somehow so he can pick.

I do NOT believe in mandating that owners in the draft give me their cell # or e-mail (which they SHOULDN'T have to iuf they have "send to primary e-mail" is checked). However, I don't have a problem posting MY cell 585-738-7537. I trust everyone on this site to not harass me via cell but just use it for draft pick alerting and so on. If anyone else has no problem doing this, feel free to post or sitemail a number of owners with their cell # and perhaps we could avoid these kinda situations.

It should be each owners choice, and maybe savorbg doesn't mind, but I do NOT want to take the responsibility of collecting and storing 23 peoples Cell #'s

You sure did. Not only are you lucky that he fell to 14th, but you're right, he's the last real great player. The rest of the field are now like B+ guys at best. All of the A guys are gone. With this league it probably would be more fair to go ABBBABBABA with 2 picks each in the last 2 rounds. It's gonna be very hard to have a strong team picking 22nd like I am.

I had a goofy idea once where if a guy hadn’t picked in a certain amount of time then three (good) players would be put up and the people who are paying attention would vote on who gets placed on that team. Then we move on with the draft. If you don’t want other people to vote on who is on your team then show up and pick your players. I’m guessing that a lot of people wouldn’t want to do this, but it’s fun to think about.

Once the timed picks start on Monday what we do is if an owner doesn't pick by his deadline, the next owner can pick. When the owner who missed his pick shows up and he can pick right away. Owners have half an hour to pick, so if you're scheduled at 11 AM and you haven't picked at 11:30, the next guy can pick, and so on.
