my 1 regret was taking Drummond over Cappella, but I was concentrating on Usage after Rodman and Drummond gives 500 more minutes.....but Capela's defense and his efg% would have been nice

19) HDSlow1---I actually practiced trying to build a team with these drafted players while we were waiting cause at 1st glance these names just jump out at you—Kareem/Whiteside/Magic/CWood/ Montrezl. As I began fiddling with the seasons and combinations I started to hate this draft. In order to maximize this team under the $52 million CAP you kinda had to start with your 6th Round pick of Troy Murphy (cause there’s one season that everyone uses) and work back. I have to say, though, that I am impressed with the team he was able to put together. Possibly had to compromise on seasons of just Magic and CWood to fit together but they are still good seasons. I think this team could have been much better had the 6th/7th round picks been different. You could have maybe focused on lowering the turnovers and having a better supporting cast coming off the bench. This team will be fighting for one of the last playoff spots.

20) K12345…---Welcome, welcome. The $52 imo is VERY hard. It’s easy to have almost too much talent on a team ( I had Giannis/Artis G/Amare S/Zion/Bobby Jones/Kyrie all on the same $52 team one season and didn’t make the playoffs). D.Sabonis in the early 2nd Round is too early and I am not a fan of Ben Simmons and not sure that Nash’s stats translate well enough anymore in the $52. Barkley and Jarrett Allen are a great combination and you shoulda focused on surrounding them with some top defenders. Your team efg% is fantastic at 63%, but I just don’t think your Defense is going to hold up. This will be a fun team though and that’s what matters. I think you will finish just under .500.

21) beloud----now here’s a team that paid attention to Defense. And what a smart team builder beloud has proven to be time and time again. Great 2nd Round pick in McHale but we all know when you pick him that you have to make sure you don’t come up short on Rebounding. No problem for beloud---this team rolls out with Kevin McHale’s efficiency and Defense as well as over 1500 Oreb and more than 5200 Total Rbs. This is the favorite to win the Chip. The only thing we can hope for is that maybe Oscar and/or Jamal Murray have off seasons but I doubt it.

22) samuelyork----can’t argue with the 1st 3 picks KMalone/Duncan/Horace---what a solid front court. The rest of the draft was o.k. I think the 4th is too early for Otto Porter and you probably could of gotten Sengun after the draft. You coulda had Jamal Murray or Evan Mobley, Zubac, or even Javale McGhee were still available. Still, this team looks like a playoff team but had much more potential after that incredible start.

23) longtallbrad—the SIM curse of Draymond. I would love to see this team do well. I cannot believe that, historically, team’s with Draymond don’t do better than they do. This team may do ok but it just wasn’t a smart draft. I love Moses and I like Harden but once you commit to Moses you have to be very aware of your team’s turnovers from that point forward. You have 6 players, half your team that average 4.0 or more Turnovers per 48/mins. I start to freak out when I have 2. This team has some good pieces but I just think it will come up just shy of the playoffs.

24) dontburnearl----Great start with KG and Hakeem back to back. 3rd Round kinda early for Oladipo. I like the rest of the draft but looks like the final team build is coming up a little low on efg%. This is another team where a high efficient guy like an Andrew Bogut/Mitchell Robinson type woulda done very well. This team is another one of those team’s that will be on the bubble of making the playoffs but if they get in you are not gonna want to face them.

Thanks for the eval and earlier advice, Rift. Who would you have suggested in the 2nd round? I considered Gilmore, but his high eFG% seasons that I would gravitate to weren't that great at rebounds so maybe not a great fit with Barkley, and Capela, but thought his minutes were light. Figured Sabonis was good at everything except defense and gave a good foundation in assists. Perhaps defense trumps all and this was ill advised.

For Simmons, thought he would be a good defender who, while not 100%, could feasibly switch to other positions (better D than any of my main C/PF), and was pretty similar to the Magic season used outside of FT% (particularly given that I was getting high assists from Sabonis).

In 2nd Round after you had Barkley, Whiteside or Capela woulda been ideal, imo.
I just don't like Ben Simmons lack of 3 pt FG, poor FT% and higher TO's. Bledsoe woulda
been better but also Kyle Anderson/Caruso/Billups were available
