So, if I have a mutual option on a player this season, and after rollover but before budgeting he shows on my option report as pending, but he doesnt show up on my current roster and is on the free agent list, does that mean that he is going to walk? (saving me the buyout)

How long can a guy stay at AAA before I need to promote him so he doesn't quit in the offseason?

I don't know if the number is that high but anyone who has 2-3 seasons behind them should know.  As to why, I'm befuddled when I run across someone who doesn't.

From a fielding standpoint, he's a pure DH.   If he produces at the plate, I'd find a spot for him at C/1B/RF on occassion if I were an AL team.  If I was NL, I'd probably try to trade him.
