Game 103: Tomo Ohka throws eight 4-hit innings and the Spectres ambush the Bootleggers 7-1 to open the series. Carlos Delgado hits his 27th home run.

Game 104: Carl Crawford has five of Montreal's 18 hits and the Spectres get 6.2 innings of scoreless work from the bullpen as they beat the Bootleggers 12-6.

Game 105: Oliver Perez baffles the Spectres for five innings, striking out eight, and gets his third win as the Bootleggers avoid being swept with a 9-2 victory. Perez strikes out eight and lowers his ERA to 7.44.

The Spectres head to San Francisco for another battle with the hated Niners.

Game 106: Montreal suffers a heartbreaking 8-7 loss to the Niners in 11 innings. The Spectres blow a one-run lead in the eighth, score twice in the 10th only to give them right back, and lose in the 11th on AJ Pierzynski's bases-loaded single. Jim Brower takes the loss and falls to 2-8.

Game 107: Michael Cuddyer takes over the leadoff spot and hits two triples, while Ramon Hernandez hits a three-run homer and the Spectres even the series with a 9-4 win, beating CC Sabathia.

Game 108: Ramon Hernandez has another three-RBI day and Bret Boone scores four times as the Spectres blow the Niners out of the park, 13-3, behind Tomo Ohka, now 9-6. Kerry Wood takes the loss for Frisco.

Montreal flies home to host Milwaukee (34-74).

Game 109: Montreal puts six runs up in the second inning and Kelvim Escobar strikes out 10 Krauts as the Spectres crush Milwaukee 12-3 to open the series. Brett Boone drives in four runs, giving him 96 on the season.

Game 110: Jeremy Bonderman goes seven scoreless innings and the Spectres get home runs from Bret Boone and Geoff Jenkins in a 7-0 win over Milwaukee. Bonderman gets his ninth win.

Game 111: Montreal outslugs Milwaukee 11-8 to sweep the series; Bret Boone homers again and drives home four runs, putting him over the century mark. Eddie Guardado strikes out Todd Helton with a man on second to earn his 18th save.

The Spectres head to Houston.

Game 112: Montreal scores four times in the first but it's all Houston after that. Mike Remlinger allows four runs before getting two outs in the sixth and the Lone Stars roll to an 11-6 win.

Game 113: Tomo Ohka pitches into the eighth and gets his 10th win of the season as the Spectres bludgeon the Lone Stars 11-3. Carl Crawford has four hits and Edgardo Alfonzo drives in four runs.

Game 114: Geoff Jenkins has four hits, including a double and a home run, driving in four as the Spectres take the series from Houston with an 8-2 win. Kelvim Escobar allows one run in seven innings to earn his seventh win.

Montreal will host Cincinnati (55-59) next.

Game 115: Jeremy Bonderman gets his 10th win with six strong innings as the Spectres beat the Stingers 6-2. Carl Crawford has three hits and steals his 51st base of the season.

Game 116: Ben Sheets throws a complete game at the Spectres and Cincy wins it, 7-1.

Game 117: Cincy gets 24 hits and bludgeons the Spectres 13-5 to take the series.

The third round of divisional play starts with a series in Philadelphia.

Game 118: Philly scores three in the first and four more in the second, sending Tomo Ohka to a 9-7 loss.

Game 119: Bret Boone has three hits and three RBI as the Spectres even the series with a 5-2 win. Eddie Guardado earns his 20th save.

Game 120: Dontrelle Willis throws seven 1-hit innings and the Seaphils take the series finale 7-2 over Jeremy Bonderman.

The Spectres head to Pittsburgh to face the first-place Melons.

Game 121: Hideo Nomo baffles the Spectres, pitching a complete game 7-hitter, and the Melons take the series opener 7-1.

Game 122: Geoff Jenkins has four hits and five RBI but the Melons put a nine-run inning on the board and roll to a 14-8 win.

Game 123: Montreal hits three homers but still drops a 6-5 decision to Pittsburgh, finishing a sweep.

We face the Cosmos next, who have now lost 100 games this season.

Game 124: Even a fatigued Ryan Dempster is good enough to shut down the Spectres and Montreal suffers an embarrassing 5-2 loss to New York.

Game 125: Jeremy Bonderman goes eight innings, allowing only two runs, and Bret Boone hits his 33rd homer as the Spectres bounce back for a 7-2 victory.

Game 126: Brett Boone homers and drives in all three Montreal runs as the Spectres narrowly defeat the Cosmos 3-2, handing Jason Jennings his 20th loss of the season.

The Spectres head to St. Louis to face the Cthulu.

Game 127: The Spectres get 18 hits, including three triples (one by reliever Jim Brower!), and beat St. Louis 10-6, giving Tom Glavine his 15th loss of the season. Bret Boone hits his 40th double and drives in his 120th run of the season.

Game 128: Carlos Delgado hits a three-run homer in the first and later drives in another one to reach 100 RBI for the season; Tomo Ohka pitches into the ninth and the Spectres win 6-2.

Game 129: The series finale is scoreless for eight and a half innings, but Jody Gerut ends it in the bottom of the ninth with a grand slam off Felix Rodriguez.

The Spectres, only four games out of the division lead, host San Diego next.

Game 130: Carlos Delgado singles home the tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning and Bret Boone doubles home the winner in the 11th as the Spectres squeak by the Conquistadors, 5-4.

Game 131: Kip Wells mesmerizes the Spectres and the Conquistadors eke out a 2-1 win to even the series.

Game 132: The Spectres have trouble scoring again and lose the series finale 6-2, falling five games out of first.

The LA Looters visit Montreal next.

Game 133: Looter pitchers walk nine Montreal batters, the Spectres hit three home runs, and Geoff Jenkins gets his 100th RBI as Montreal wins the opener 10-2 behind Tomo Ohka (12-8).

Game 134: LA's Carl Everett drives in five runs with only one hit, and an error by Edgardo Alfonzo leads to three unearned runs as the Looters win a slugfest, 11-10.

Game 135: Randy Johnson strikes out 10 in a complete game as the Looters take the series with a 6-1 win over Montreal.

The Spectres head to Chicago to face the Bootleggers.

Game 136: Junior Spivey doubles, homers, and drives in three as the Bootleggers win the opener 7-3 behind Woody Williams, who improves to 18-2 on the season.

Game 137: Brian Lawrence moves to 17-2 as the Bootleggers win easily, 8-1. Montreal starter Aaron Cook's ERA shoots up to 8.89.

Game 138: Bret Boone paces the attack with three hits, including his 37th home run and four RBI; Montreal salvages the series finale with a 12-8 win.

Montreal will host Frisco next in the last meeting of the season between the two teams.

Game 139: Niner starter Elmer Dessens has nothing today, and the Spectres pounce, scoring nine runs in the first two innings. The rout is on from there and Montreal takes a 17-6 win in the series opener. Bret Boone and Geoff Jenkins drive in four runs apiece and even Ken Griffey Jr., hitting .160 this season, collects two hits.

Game 140: Montreal builds an early 6-2 lead and staves off a late Frisco rally to win 9-8. The Spectres hit three home runs and Ken Griffey Jr. has another two-hit game.

Game 141: The Niners salvage the series finale, scoring seven runs in the ninth inning to snap a 3-3 tie. Montreal puts one on the board in the bottom half but can't generate anything else, losing 10-4.

The Spectres are headed to Milwaukee to face the Krauts.

Game 142: This one is a slugfest from the start; Montreal prevails in the end, 18-13, despite being outhit 16-14. The Spectres pitchers throw 189 pitches and Milwaukee's 172. Bret Boone hits three home runs and drives in eight. Ken Griffey Jr. has only one hit but it's big: a three-run homer (his seventh longball of the season).

Game 143: Geoff Jenkins takes the honors in this one, hitting three home runs and driving home seven. Montreal destroys Milwaukee 25-6. Edgardo Alfonzo adds four RBI, Carlos Delgado five, and Bret Boone six. Boone's big day gives him 150 RBI for the season. Ken Griffey has three more hits, including a triple.

Game 144: The bats go silent in the finale, but the Spectres get home runs from Bret Boone and Ramon Hernandez (a pinch hit job!) to beat the Krauts 3-2. Kelvim Escobar, amazingly, has evened his record at 10-10.



The Spectres host Houston and then travel to Cincinnati before the final stretch of divisional games.
