Brewers : Back in First Place Topic

Brewers hit three homers in an inning (all by ies off Moyer), still lose by four, 9-5. National TV against Philly the next two days. How embarrassing.

An 0-6 homestand would be embarassing. Because of Phillys rainout in Calorado, they miss Halladay Sunday night, I was kinda looking forward to seeing him pitch.

in MINNOW'S 2010 TWIST LEAGUE

I took the 10th team chosen , BREWERS

we just won the Central

Milwaukee 90-72
Cincinnati 89-73
St. Louis 85-77
Chicago 68-94

when we started 0-7 , I was regretting the decision , we woke up though , starting with a 9-5 run

then a 22-4 brewer power outburst!!

the Reds were hanging tough and not giving much ground

the Cards started 7-21 which mystified veteran owner DN3524....to his credit , he did get them to finish on a 78-56 tear...they're probably the best team in the division as the season ends...

SIDENOTE : Doug Davis was the winner in both official elimination games vs. the Reds + Cards

we had a 16-2 stretch to finally overcome the Reds late in the season but really limp in the playoffs , 4-8 in our final 12 with alot of hitters in the lineup battling fatigue issue's

in the 1st rd , we face the N.L East champion Phillies 93-69

we went 7-5 against them....playoffs begin tomorrow afternoon

The Brewers hit three more home runs today but lose another four-run decision, 10-6, on national TV. Somewhat close game until Claudio Vargas enters; six runs later he leaves. Rickie Weeks and Craig Counsell both strike out with the bases loaded in the ninth.

The Brewers finally realized that their bullpen will not last the season with a rotation that rarely sees the seventh inning and on average does not even complete the sixth; reliever Jon Axford is called up and fourth OF Adam Stern (recently called up to replace Carlos Gomez), is sent down.

what happened to Gomez?
5/16/2010 6:38 AM
Rotator cuff thingy... not torn.
5/16/2010 7:07 AM
Doug Davis put on DL with heart virus thingy, Stern called back up. Bush will start tonight on normal rest in Davis' place.
5/16/2010 7:46 PM
At least we get some away games now.
5/17/2010 1:01 AM
We had 13 pitchers for one day. I don't understand how calling Stern back up helps the bullpen. I assume this means Soup will find his way back into the rotation.
