Not nearly as much. Owners are slow to react to negative plays. Errors they get. Lack of power they get. Negative plays not so much. Several good, attentive owners said "Hey, how come my 1B has 18 negative plays?" after seeing it listed on the Daily Event Page below the standings.

That is certainly a "Who's the fastest retard? question. If you and Braziman formed a world, onlyl you in the AL and only him in the NL, I think you'd win the 7 game World Series. However, it's entirely possible that Braz would figure out a way to miss the playoffs.

What is more imporant, contact or batting eye?

In a vacuum, batting eye. Even with complete crap ratings everywhere else, he'll still draw walks. High contact with no power, splits, eye will suck balls.

But, with the right combination of other ratings, I'd take contact over eye. I've had decent success with low BE players. A guy that hits .300 with a .320 OBP is better in my book than a player with .230/.350 assuming slugging is similar.

One of my leagues posted the "Catchers caught stealing" leaders. Made me interested in RL numbers. Took a while to find, but I finally did. Jason Varitek last year allowed 108 SBs while only catching 16! Why do we never hear about stuff like this? Would you let this guy play?

"Stuff like this" is out there. You just have to look for it. Varitek has been a bad catcher for quite some time. But Sux fans love him because he's got the C on his jersey. Of course, Sux fans are stupid.
