If you were still coaching Little League, would you instruct your kids to NOT try to swing this way?

I think they're like 9 back and trailing 3 teams.  That's a lot to jump over.   And, from what I've seen, they jump like Woody Harrelson.   Sell!!!!

What determines how/why a player is benched in favor of a defensive replacement?  Im using the 'rock DH in RF' formula you've given.  So in the 8th, he should sit.  But, everyone EXCEPT the rock was replaced by a defensive player, and naturally he committed an error in the 9th...  What little trick am I missing?

If EVERYONE but him was replaced, you had no other options for him.   My guess, and I can't be 100% certain because I don't duplicate defensive replacements, is that D-replacements work down the fielding tree.  SS, CF, 2B, 3B, etc, etc.   And, since I think a rock can play RF, RF is last on that tree.

A team went abandoned in my world, the last owner transaction was 7/7 which was arbitration signings.  He last signed in 7/11.  The AI took over 7/16.  Then out of the blue, the AI designates two players ( one of which is pretty good ) on 7/17.  Id never seen anything like it before.  Why is the AI designating players? 

I'm assuming the transaction is in red.  They're automatically designated after 10 real life days.  

Yes they are, but ... why?  This guy was given a contract extension Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: B.C. Cruz  and this guy Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Gorkys Ordaz    Both were on the ML roster, not just unassigned. 

OK, that doesn't look like unassigned designations.   Too many players on the BL roster at the start of the season could be a possibility.   Why Simmy wouldn't demote or waive is beyond me.
