Game 85: St. Paul's Roy Oswalt throws a complete game shutout, allowing only seven singles, as the Sarlaacs beat Kelvim Escobar 3-0.
Game 86: Melvin Mora has six hits and Carl Crawford adds four more as the Spectres even things up with St. Paul, winning 11-5 on the road.
Game 87: Washington has a five-run 4th inning and piles on three more runs in the next two frames as the Spectres drop an 8-4 decision.
Game 88: Jimmy Gobble's recent stretch of good outings comes to a crashing halt, with some help (or lack thereof) from the defense, as Washington scores seven times in the second inning and holds on for a 7-6 win to sweep the Spectres.
Game 89: The Spectres continue to struggle against the AL, losing a 6-5 decision at Chicago. The White Sox score four in the first off Joe Kennedy and hold on through a late Montreal rally; Ramon Hernandez ends the game by grounding out with runners at the corners.
Game 90: Montreal trails the White Sox 8-4 with two outs and none on in the bottom of the ninth when lightning strikes. Double-single-single-single-single-walk chases Braden Looper and makes it 8-7, bases loaded. Ron Villone enters. Carl Crawford greets him with a game-tying single. Edgardo Alfonzo follows with another hit. Spectres win!
With that little bit of magic in our pockets, we head to Wrigley.
