So then a week or so passes and it's no longer a big deal. He gets a roommate. Can't kill yourself with a roomie.

BUT WAIT! The WARDEN and PSYCHO doctor who checks brains say this guy is OK?

And all of a sudden the biggest guy since EL CHAPPO is back in general population. Not cool. WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Well........suddenly the prison gets understaffed for THAT weekend and his roommate DISAPPEARS for no reason.

And the cameras don't record. The 24/7's stop recording for no known reason.

No camera. No roommate. No suicide watch. Understaffed. Just when it needed to.

There are two stories here.

The first one is you will get snuffed out if they want you to be snuffed.

The second is a lot like the first. Powerful people are in play here. They pulled the trigger. MURDER?

But there is a back story. You can't kill everyone. All the people set to testify are still there. Will the DOJ pursue?

Will the $$$ buy them off? Kill the rest? Don't know. What a wicked world. Jeffery doesn't escape eternity.

Nor do all the erstwhile clever manipulators. That's what happens when you dig a hole.

The final quote is what draws me. We've lost that freedom, in part because we are a bunch of children and, in part, because we are itching for a brawl. The media, social media, activists, talk radio, politicians - everyone is feigning or genuinely outraged by everything. It's all a bunch of stupid hate but everyone seems to get a kick out of it. Every comment, regardless of intent or context, is weaponized into an affront, a micro-aggression, a tool to shut the voice up and the opinion down...and don't try to pass off some bullshit about only one side or the other is doing it. EVERYONE is doing it and everyone loves doing it. The doers make money or get a boost to their ego through the control it gives them. The audience gets an emotional release (our version of the Two Minutes Hate) by making us believe we are involved in something larger than our miserable little lives. Is everyone satisfied? Apparently not, because there will be a new dose of real or imagined mindless hatred tomorrow and Americans just can't eat enough at this particular buffet.

Things fall apart, the centre cannot hold.
