Do you ever change the "base running aggressiveness" setting?  If my team's base running rating is low/average, should I just set it as 1 or 2 to make sure they arent running into outs?

That's when I change them.   I'm on average everywhere when the season starts.   If we're running into outs(boxscore, assists from opponent's OF), I lower it.   I may start aggressive if I have a really good baserunning team.

I was not.

Not sure but the professional athlete kind of rape isn't legitimate.   Otherwise, Big Ben and Kobe are sitting in a jail cell trying to prevent a legitimate rape from Burly Bubba.

They have the power to take men's money, in some form, without the men caring.

I don't think so.  He's a competitor and maybe he hasn't found something to replace baseball.  I read the book "The Rocket that fell to Earth."    I didn't surprise me a bit that he went to court over the steroid allegations.  It gave him a goal, a reason to get up and fight every day.  That's over.  Now he needs something else.

Wouldn't you think that right now there should be a political "sweet spot" for an independent candidate to step up and fill the huge gap betweeen the lunatic fringe that's hijacked both the Democratic (socialist left-wing liberal nutjobs) and Republic (ultra-conservative right-wing nutjobs) parties?

You'd think but it isn't so.  For instance, abortion is a hot button topic.  For someone like me, a conservative leaner, I don't care.   However, if you're a staunch pro-lifer, for whatever reason, you can't reconcile a differing opinion on the subject.   It's just bad.  So a fiscal conservative who is pro-choice just can't get those votes.  Liberals can't imagine cutting spending if it affects social programs.   So the pro-choice fiscal liberal can't get their votes.   So, while many Americans consider themselves "independents" or in the middle of the political spectrum, they really aren't.   There are just some things they hold too close to their heart.

I don't buy that for a second.  There just isn't the funding for a third-party or independent campaign, and even if there were it wouldn't change the fact that most of the more than 80% of voters who are registered with a party are going to go into a polling place and vote straight ticket regardless.
