I think the players took celebrating too far. So the NFL had to rein them back in. Of course, the NFL can give us all sorts of reasons why they did it but, most likely, it had to do with protecting their sponsors. I forget which player hid a cell phone in the goal post padding and pretended to make a call but that was getting pretty close to on-field product endorsement. If the NFL can't get a cut, they won't have that.

Will the Chargers represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season?

I'm not sold on the Chargers. However, they do well against the Colts so maybe I don't have to be sold on them. I can't see any other AFC team other than those two. Unless NE gets their act together.

I don't think you can discount the Cards. I've noticed Favre seeming to get a little more careless with the ball. And the Saints have to have a bad game sooner or later, right? And, as much as I now hate them, it appears the Eagles have something going on.
