Western swing starts nicely. Boosh overcomes a shaky start to win his 1st of the season and Pyorala scores his 1st NHL goal in 3-2 win over the Kings (not the same team w/ Smyth injured)

3 straight poor performances by the blueliners (& Emery wasn't so great last night). need not just "strong efforts", but wins in the next 2. Isles are suddenly not a push-over and Buffalo can skate with anyone.

When you have a 6-4 power play at the end of the game, Rule 1 is don't dump the f****** puck.

Another axiom is you can take the player out Arizona, but you can't take the Arizona out of the player.





Actually right before the Flyers went up 2-1, I said to my son that this game is over. Philly is going to win. Dammit.

back to the same listlessness last night. Thought the Carcillo dis-allowed goal might have turned the momentum, he was obviously trying to kick it to his stick and missed, but it was not to be.

Anyone with illusions that Boucher has #1 ability must now realize that he can't stop a beachball on a consistent basis.
