Loe is on the way to Miami, not certain how the roster spot will be cleared for him.

Stern DFA'd to clear a spot on the 40-man, Marco Estrada sent back to Nashville to make a spot on the 25-man.

OH YEAHH!!!! Trevor, still not allowed to pitch in the ninth inning, ruined a game in the seventh tonight, allowing three runs that turned a 3-3 tie into a 6-3 deficit. Brewers lose, 6-4.

If he's not ready for the 9th, why the hell is he ready for a tie game in the 7th?

My new (admittedly long) nickname for Ken Macha is "The Only Man in America Who Doesn't Know that Trevor Hoffman is Done".

Kermit, master of the not-very-succinct nicknames.
6/2/2010 8:21 AM
I can't even deal with an acronym of that.

TOMAWDKTHD. It's catchy. And also true.

Brewers win! John Axford gets five outs for his third save. Gallardo, Fielder, and Kottaras go deep.

Bill Hall is a beast. Recognize, kermit!
6/3/2010 6:09 PM
His contract is a beast, admittedly. And he's a hell of a pitcher.

Ninth-inning rally falls short, Cappy has rough outing, Brewers lose 3-2. On to St. Louis, where they are already brandishing the brooms, I'm sure.
6/3/2010 10:38 PM
Brewers start strong, managing two hits in an 8-0 shutout loss to open the series. Oh YEAH!!!

Brewers take the Cards to extras before dropping a 5-4 decision in 11. At least they didn't completely embarrass themselves on national TV. Yet. We'll see what happens Sunday night, when Manny Parra takes the mound.

I guess I haven't mentioned this; Parra gets the start over Dave Bush, who was removed from his last start against Florida after six innings and 85 pitches because of a blister. Bush, however, says the blister has nothing to do with him being replaced by Parra for the Sunday night start, and he is not pleased. Macha's awesome communication skills return again to make for a happy clubhouse. Macha would say only that Bush would probably be back in the rotation against the Cubs next week and that the team brass would have a "pow-wow" when they return to Milwaukee next week and try to figure out what the heck they are doing with the rotation.

Gallardo and Wolf are likely survivors of that pow-wow, leaving Bush/Parra/Narveson/Loe/Suppan/Capuano fighting for the other three spots. Add Doug Davis to that list when he returns from the DL.
