I joined metro hockey last week to scope it out. Turns out it's shite. You can only create customs leagues if you pay ($6 per season), it's just a turn-based game, where each period is 20 turns so you put out 20 lines (no line juggling, no different lines for special teams), and you need to log on to play your games. You can miss 10 games; after that you forfeit any game you don't sign in for.

That second period was brutal. 5 goals on 13 shots. And I only scored 2 on 43 total (24 in the 3rd period alone -- your total for the entire game).

Happened again today: back-to-back games where I get up 2-0 only to lose 5-2. And once again all 5 goals against came in the same period.

So in my last 2 games, In 4 of the 6 periods (periods 1 and 3 against the Slashers and periods 1 and 2 against the Bison) I've outscored the opponents 4-0. In the 2 other periods in those games I've been outscored 10-0.

Awesome.
