The 95 Braves (would then be in 96) wouldn't be able to pick him up and start using him in 1996. Correct? From what I understand if you cut ARod he goes into the pool and is eligible for drafting by anybody that is currently drafting for a year that he played. So if you cut him in 1999 he is eligible for drafting by the Braves (and would start with the team for his 1996 year.) Individual players don't progress one year at a time unless they are on someone's roster. That would be a pain to track otherwise.Crazyjoe02 has it right. If you drop A-rod in 1999 he would go back to the available pool of players. so the 01 Athletics team which will turn to 02 and could draft him. I don't think it's fair I blacklisted everyone that has ever played in a year and then you drop him. If you don't want oter owners to have them keep them. Sometimes you may keep a player like someone keep an old Ty Cobb so at least for this year he is not batting his usual 300+ against them. Sometimes you are going to see a player again in different years(it can't happen in a single season) that has the same year as someone else already did. This is were your strategy comes in.
