All along I wanted to run a three-man rotation at SG/SF with guys that got to the line, shot a bunch of threes, had a low (or decently low) tov%, had pretty high dreb% for guards and complimentary ast%. I knew Jordan, Lebron and Wade were out of the question, so my list consisted of 5 names: Tmac, Manu, Granger, VC and Pierce. In that order. So, needless to say, I'm tickled I ended up with 2, 3 and 4 on that list.

Oscar was out of nowhere for me... I originally intended on taking a lower-usage rebounder in round 1 and tmac in round 2 (or Kobe if he was still there), but when Oscar was there, I changed my mind. I decided I wanted to make sure I had a dominant rebounder before I did my little rotation, so I went ahead and took Wallace with the realization that I probably wouldn't get 3 guys off of my initial list of five.

All along the plan was to grab some lower minute guys to platoon for either the 4 or the 5, and I hoped that I could get ones that didn't average 6 fouls per 48min... I took a little less rebounding to get the two guys I did, but with my wingmen and Oscar at the point, I figured I could let it slide a little... still, I'm very happy with them.

I have just enough money to take care of backing up Big Ben and Oscar and should end up right around my target minutes goal.

All in all, I'm decently happy with the team. I'm uncomfortable not having my dominant paint scorer like I like, but trying something "new" is fun.

We'll see how things piece together from this point.

Afraid of getting out rebounded on a regular basis. Trying to win the possession battle by getting more steals and blocks than the other guys do. Also want balance to keep the double teams away from Shaq, and teams playing -2 defense. Like the defensive off of the bench. Lewis is 93 D and Tyler's D is 94. Eddie Jones has good numbers and is very efficient so I don't get why he isn't more highly thought of in the SIM.

But looking back on it I might have made a mistake in taking Shaq so high. Only time will tell.

15's not really high for Shaq. It's right about where he should go - the mid/upper teens. He's one of 2 players that has seasons with 70%+ paint scoring and 30%+ usage (the other is Wilt). He's one of 6 or 7 guys with 22%+ usage and 60%+ paint. Therefore he's one of a very few that can keep balance a 3-point assault almost entirely by himself.
