Nothing happened in Knight to change the code or engine we were using. There was no significant event beyond just running the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games.

Why was this errant practice code in there? Why didn't it take effect earlier? Why only now? Were these games being run using the new engine? I thought the worlds had to roll over first.
I'd just like to weigh in here, because it seemed to me that the new engine may have been in place during the CT, because there are only 2 humans in my conference and we both lost handily to teams we had beaten before and I just found the timing to be a bit peculiar. I went from beating said SIM AI by 16 on the road earlier in the season, then lost to them by 19 at a neutral site in the CT....it sparked my eyre.

I agree with this. If they can't do it through the engine, then I would hope both coaches would be man enough to leave things as they originally were.

I also appreciate that Seble was willing to take a beating on this to do what he thinks is right; a lot of people wouldn't. Its a lose-lose situation either way, so I appreciate him trying to make it right.

Your team is not good enough to have this be an odd result.

I was using this result to suggest that the engine change was made to Knight without announcement...I'm not griping about the result...if I was, you would have read about this last week

To be fair to all teams, today's games will be replayed. It will take a while for me to get everything corrected, so most likely I'll push back games by one day.

I sincerely apologize for these problems and hope that everyone understands
why replay ALL games, why not just those in which the ratings changed?

how much could the ratings have changed this late in the season?

this doesnt sound right at all

I will have things sorted out shortly
how much more? couldnt have been that much

unless you can categorically say that one team was screwed way more than another that it played, it makes no sense to re-play - and since we arent going to get the exact details of each teams changes, we are forced to believe that some were unfairly screwed

however, in those games in which each team had nothing happen, or were screwed equally in ratings - it's just another chance for the losing team to *get lucky* - and thats a load of crap - this should have been done on a game by game basis

I originally thought that all teams were affected equally, i e all lost about 7 points, but if some teams really lost 20 points and the only way to fix it is to re-run all the games then I am ok with it.

I cant imagine how ****** I would be if my team magically lost 20 points and then lost in the sweet sixteen or elite eight.

I think it is better to have an active CS, as opposed to one that doesn't care. so props to Seble for at least caring enough to get it right, even if it mean re-simming.

dude, your team could lose 50 pts and still win, you are a beast

great questions

i just checked the 2 teams in my region (Becker, Upper Iowa) that i originally beat to get to the FF

NEITHER teams ratings are different now from their ratings before the games were originally simmed

wtf?
5/27/2010 12:13 PM
Its a huge WTF IMO, I actually lost more points than both teams I played in the S16 and E8. IMO it just gives teams (not saying my opponents) a chance to correct a gameplan or try something new which IMO is MUCH worse than a few points

Same here, and if I lose my next two games, don't I have the right to be just a tad bit frustrated? My team history still has the wins listed in my home and away records, proof that i was in the freaking FF of the PI. Now, if I don't at least get there again, it's like all that recruit money, prestige, and credits are lost down the drain.

you guys should save some crying for after the replays
5/27/2010 1:09 PM
Do you have a Knight team in the final four pinkeye?, well they do and they are not crying, they are frustrated
