the 2-3 update is TRASH! Topic

i will say one thing, skunk did pretty good right in my backyard in knight, which is almost certainly the weakest d3 i'd imagine. i have no idea how it happened. i was busy winning 'ships elsewhere? he pulled off some houdini **** tho and had success.

I find skunk calling out somebody for cherry picking is amussing as his LaVerne team was an A+ when he took them over and has only once missed the postseason, in season 1.

wow i really thought you had some backbone. you sir are a fraud.
yup, im a fraud who just got really, really lucky =) you are more than welcome to challenge me at d1 or d2 tark, its not exactly fair because you are a young coach who cares and i am an old coach who once cared, but those days have long gone. i am at least somewhat paying attention now, when the engine first came out i would often check my team going into the NT only to realize i got half way through setting them up and forgot to finish. actually, in the past year, this is definitely the most attention i ever played - i even have 2 teams who didn't lose a player to grades for an entire season.

by the way im not trying to take anything away from that team, bc he won like 5 titles in 10 years and almost always with his players, but he also moved from one school to another within the same conference! we used to beat up on him and talk a lot of **** before he moved to la verne. he sucked pretty badly and has since gotten much better. had to point it out though.

i made a fair offer and you can't handle that. you can make up all the excuses you want billy but at the end of the day you were to afraid to face off on equal terms. go paint a yellow streak down your back. i think the whole community got a good view of how weak you are without your cherry picking teams to defend you. lol

stop being a coward and except the challenge.
2/23/2011 6:42 PM
oh i got too many worlds.....boo hoo hoo, i'll never be able to follow all of them. if you can't give a challenge to your integrity some effort then you probably shouldn't compete at anything.

we all know those aren't real excuses. you can try to kid yourself, but we all know you shriveled up when things got real.

Wasn't saying I had accomplished anything skunk, nor was I saying your 5 titles are not impressive just that YOU too cherrypicked, pretty badly in fact.

I guess skunk must enjoy being Public Enemy #1.  He's just continued to be more and more of an arrogant douche for quite a while now...  Or else he actually thinks he's a dramatically superior coach to everyone else.  And has no interest in making cyber friends.  Which is understandable, really...  Cyber friends never give me that warm fuzzy feeling I look for in a friendship.

i'm not ashamed of grabbing a great prestige school like la verne. know why? cause even when i did pick them up i still didn't know quite what i was doing, but when i finally put it all together, every player on the roster was recruited by me. and i didn't just win one title, but five titles. i didn't not in a sim conference, i did in the best conference in knight, up against aejones and kmason who had equally great teams. anyone want to pick on jones and kmason while were at it?

U/S - if you got the goods, we'll all know soon enough, I would say half the really good d2/d3 coaches struggle with d1, the other half dominate it, billy definitely has done well in d1 .... interestingly, most sort of lose their d2/d3 skills when they just play d1, the two games are different .... d2/d3 seems a bit boring and sort of unfair when you get into playing d1, at least it did for me, although I do have one of each, mostly so I can answer sitemails asking for help and see the effects of the new engine on the different levels of the game.

as far as winning with all 99 ath / sp guys, it would be easy, except when you play in a conference where near everyone is that good and in a world, where 30 or 40 coaches have great teams, and have great resumes .... then all that is left is gameplanning and / or luck .... coaches like daalter, lostmyth and billyg and many before them, have had their share of luck at the d1 level, to the point most recognize it as a skill.  But, until you do it in the big leagues at the grown up table, many will be skeptical.

After your little exchange here with billy, going to be interesting to watch you coach in d1, obviously, we are expecting big things from you.

only douche i see is you. you couldn't follow a thread and posted a comment with no regards or comprehension of the previous posts....thats sounds douchy to me.

and billy - this is not the same discussion as you and I had - but do you recall when you started d1 and you and I discussed your theory that you should win the national title 90% of the time, and I tried to convince you that the best anyone could hope for in d1 might be 20-25% - reading this reminded me of those exchanges anyhow - LOL???
