I think this PF round is the key to the whole draft. Can the teams who took the Jordans and Lebrons afford to also select the top PF's? Do they go for rebounding or points? Do they take some of the top guys and use a lesser season? Do they worry at all about D? Do they focus on a PF/C with the option of playing him in the middle since they will be picking last in the C round? Inquiring minds want to know, but I have a feeling we might have to wait a long time before we find out. No offense Mikee

Yep, those are the questions, coach.  **** if I know what to hope for at this point.

Since a lot of teams didn't take a true pg in round 1, do they maybe try to pick up some assists here and go with more of a sf/pf type? I have 12 guys on a list that I think, given a teams situation regarding cap and various needs, could be picked 1st or 12th. I'm not saying that I wouldn't rank some a little higher than others, but all things considered, anyone of those 12 could legitimately be picked 1 or 12 and you wouldn't exactly fall off your chair.

I do like my position with payton and Granger. Granger is only 6M (I'm not sure why more people haven't been using him lately) and my 2 favorite seasons of payton are 9M & 7M. So if I get a prime time PF fall to me who's 9M season I just love, I'll use paytons 7M most likely. If not, then I can always use paytons 9M season as my staple. Which is why I choose payton in the 1st rd, for that flexability. Well, since there isn't much basketball going on here right now, I think I'll go play some NBA2K and check back in little while.

there's definitely a clear cut #1 and he pairs really well with Lebron and makes that squad the team to beat

though coach is a wily veteran, and everything he just said in his previous posts are certainly true, i think he, like others, puts too much creedence in the salary cap. i think 47 mil affords the likes of two 9 mil players. so, even if you have lebron, i think another 9 mil + player is affordable. i just need 3.5 mil to get me a good bench.

let's put it this way, if I were drafting an open 47m team there's only one other guy I would consider for this position to match with Lebron and he's not eligible in this round

wondering if anyone has a proxy by mikee1?

its gonna be interesting to see where certain elite sfs go in this round....do you play them out of position at the 4?....do you play them at the 3 and try to grab a 4 during the sf round(prob not gonna be strong enough on the boards)...or do you wait until the 6th to get your rebounds from the 4(the choices may be kinda weak by then).

i agree with felonius that there is a clear cut #1 pf...but i wonder if we are thinking about the same guy

i also think 2 and 3 should be between two guys but i guess that could change based on any team plans

as for my #4 spot...im gonna surprise some people with that pick unless the top 2 on my list drop to me(they wont)

theres one big time sg(only 99% there) who im real curious to see what happens to...will someone risk boards for him in the pf round?

Looking at the way positions fell into the rounds this draft is really inequitable - #1-#3 are going to get 2 top 10 guys each - maybe next time we should insure big little big little or some such?

i know last year the top of the draft had first crack at pf AND c....didnt help them all that much...with the salary cap and the depth of good owners i dont think its that big of an advantage

I've been wondering the same thing, but I agree with dh...let's see how this season actually plays out.  Like I've been saying, sappy's sitting pretty well despite (or because of?) having the 24th spot.

then you're crazy - like I said earlier I would build an open team at this cap with the players available to the #1 spot

I would enjoy a follow up where all of the guys picked in rounds 1-5 were blacklisted...
