<<Romney/Ryan brought a lot of new ideas and plans to the table.>>

Do tell....state a NEW idea and a SPECIFIC plan they brought to the table.
The idea of bringing energy independence to America.

They have no actual plan for that.

Are you saying that "energy independence" is a NEW idea? Seriously? No other politicians prior to R/R has promoted this idea? If so, it's not new.

And specifics...how do they plan on accomplishing this. Continued subsidies for oil companies but not for wind companies? Oil = finite   Wind = infinite

The idea that by 2020 all of North America will be energy independent is new.

And he of course didnt have time to lay out the whole process. Here is his plan...

So the plan is to drill for more oil? And after we run out of that?

That's not new. Andrea True invented that in 1976. More, more, more.

His "plan" (and I'm using that word very loosely) is basically a wordier way of saying, Drill, Baby, Drill!!!!

So Obama's plan is to  'pretend'  to be out of oil, so we won't have to worry about ever running out of it.   That's a good plan.   I guess Harry Reid's plan is to  'pretend'  to not make a budget, so we don't have to stop spending.     Let's do that with everything else, too.   What can go wrong?

We seem to be using and producing an awful lot of oil considering that you think Obamas plan is to "pretend to be out of oil".

I'm guessing that's your way of saying Romney doesn't have a plan.

What isnt spelled out, but is part of his speechs, is that Oil is just one of the fossil fuels, and tha Coal and natural gas can supply America for generations.

And if we stop treating every wild eyed enviromental group as science and deal with issues in the real world we can get America into the "Energy black".
9/2/2012 1:35 PM
You need to get automobiles on the grid for coal to be of any use "for generations to come".

You really don't have a clue.

LNG seems like a more realistic option for the near future. And in the distant future electirc might be possible.

And no one wants to ban solar and wind, just not force it. Let market forces decide when the technology is ready.
9/2/2012 8:45 PM
Here's their plan for energy:  use all sources.  Stop making fossil fuels more expensive to make "green" energy more competitive.

We're no where near to running out of oil/coal/nat gas.

Really? So does that mean they plan on dropping the tariffs on Brazilian ethanol?
9/3/2012 9:14 AM
Why would they provide subsidies for oil companies with record profits but not for wind companies which produce cleaner energy, that never runs out?

Because wind companies are subsidised with taxpayer money at a loss then left to rust and never cleaned up because the enviro-wacko pigs only like to create messes then move along to the next?
