Looks like Seward finished 85-9 in 113 regular-season appearances: https://www.whatifsports.com/mlb-l/playerstats.asp?teamid=1518041

85 wins is absolutely ridiculous

I was disappointed with how he finished, going 0-2 in his final three appearances and having his ERA pushed above 2. Overall though, not bad!

Still the best on his PH, too! Now everyone can see it!

First page has been updated with his final tally.

Holy Schnikes, 85 is a bunch...Congrats

Ed averaged just over 5 innings in his 113 appearance. One busy guy.

I just entered a team using lefty Casey, having 5 RH starters throw 40 pitches. I can stretch Casey a bit beyond 575 innings if need be...it's a decent team, had $42M to use on bats and gloves. I opted for 5 pretty good 80-130 inning arms to hopefully keep us in the games till the big guy takes over. I think 115 appearances is within reach.

I drafted a decent assortment of short inning guys to close. I suppose I need to have just about all of my pen stay out until inning 8 or 9.

I've got a handful of low inning arms to fill the late innings. Am I better off to set them all LHS/RHS rather than Setup A and Closer? They are all capable of closing. My thought is to set them 8th inning or later.

If one of the RP is head and shoulders above the others I'd use him at Closer. I don't normally set anyone at Closer but for this latest Seward attempt I had the 34 inning 2017 Verlander and he was terrific, saving 27 of 28. Really made a difference.

And yeah, try not to let any RP come into the game earlier than the 9th. You want to give Casey as much of a chance as possible to get the W.

We've got 2 Casey teams and a Buffinton going. I have no clue if I'm on the right track, but we will get after it...

I activated bounties 3 & 4 simultaneously as they are both rolling bounties and I wanted to give adequate time for people to try to win them. Both are updated on page 1

I don't know what kind of #s will be the winners at the end, but for the SB one, I'm thinking 800 is likely to be a good target to aim for.

On the errors, I'm thinking around 330.. I think it will be hard to win enough games if many more errors than that are committed, but the offenses and pitching staffs you can afford by not paying for defense could be something special.

I've got two teams going for the HR bounty right now, I just put 1 more in for bragging rights on bounty 1, and am building my error team first out of these two. I'll get a SB team up in the near future, but the error one seems more fun to me personally, so I'm going to start there.

I will build a SB team.

I'm also trying an '08 Walsh to use in Long A...

Early returns...

Casey thru 15 games...6-1 in 11 appearances, 42.2 IP, 0.84 ERA, 0.77 WHIP

Casey #2 thru 12 games...5-1 in 10 appearances, 29 IP, 2.48 ERA, 1.34 WHIP (gets 2 of next 4 off)

Buffinton thru 9 games...4-1 in 6 appearances, 18.1 IP, 2.95 ERA, 1.09 WHIP

The plan is to stay at or below 75% usage till 50-60 games, then perhaps i can give them more work. 4 innings per appearance or less would be ideal. They are set to be available inning #3. All starters are set 40 pitches unless I need them to give extra to give others rest. Am hoping to avoid scrub forfeit starts if possible.

A bit later I will post pitches thrown vs allocated. Casey is gonna be a challenge due to his BB rate. My hope is that he can hang in there, and our run differential makes up for his lack of quality. There just aren't many good, affordable lefties with those innings. Mostly he holds up very well, and has been OAV. 210 or better vs lefties, so why not...I felt bad for him, he was flailing in the Mexican League when I signed him...

'08 Walsh picked up 2 wins in 8 innings of work in the opening series.
