As we switch from round two to three, razorclams has the toughest assignment, having to do his screw pick of peekay when peekay just got his second round team right before that.

Dont feel like you have to rush razorclams. We want you to take the time to do a good screw of peekay's team.

Well razorclams, I must say, after looking over your ’66 Dodgers I am questioning why I passed them up. Besides being a Dodgers fan, they come with a complete and balanced 4-man starting rotation to go with your choice of RP’s, C, 2B, OF’s, and a few other platoon and bench players to start you off. And rostering Koufax is certainly within the realm of possibilities for this $80M league. You’re off to a great start. Oh how can we screw thee?

With the rotation being your strength and the Dodgers not exactly offensive juggernauts, I think it is best to give you as close to the same as possible. Let’s find a team whose only strength is SP and if possible, little offensive additions.

Welcome the disappointments that made up the 1976 Atlanta Braves. They come with a nice Andy Messersmith and inning eating Phil Niekro but you’ll need to pick which Dodger pitchers to cut. Max Leon could help out in relief. Offensively you get a solid LH platoon 1B in Willie Montanez which should supplant Fairly. Past him are a few barely rosterable platoon players but no one who would get an all-star vote, not even from the most diehard home fan.

Enjoy deciding which SP’s to roster. You’re going to have a very nice starting rotation. But then again, you already were going to have one. Good luck in finding enough offensive help to fill all those roster positions.

JonStephen25
you choose a very good hitting team for an era where hitting dominated. A good match for your team May be the
26 Browns.
Why the Browns?
I don’t know, but he is on 3rd and I don’t give a darn.

Sorry for the delay - Doctor and then straight to court this morning.

Peekay has the 76 Red Sox - decent all around hitting minus 2B and 3B - cheap subs at 2B and C. No bullpen.

I now gift you the 1926 Boston Braves - they provide a slight upgrade at 3B, one additional sub, and no bullpen help. Good luck

Add the 1956 Washington Senators peekay.
There are some real workhorses on that team.
Chuck Stobbs had a good season.
I miss that guy.

Jonstephen, you’re 1926 Indians team gives you a lot of pieces to build around. The 1926 Browns however, do not. But they do give you a few offensive pieces, and I do mean a few. I was hard pressed to find 6 players to fill roster spots with. But this does leave you short on pitching. We’ll try to stay that course.

May I present to you the 1966 Boston Red Sox. You get some more OF’s, another 1B, another SS, a 3B, and a bunch of $3M sub-mediocre pitchers. Actually, this team totals just under $58M but there are only two players under $1M and both are higher than $800K. Should be a good time working the salary cap with these yahoo’s. Good luck!

Razorclams, enjoy your infield help and your cheap SS options from the 1966 Washington Senators.

Jon is up with his screw pick for ermocito.

The 76 Cards are available if Jon wants to gift them. If he doesn't then jpeterso's pick will be good and we can keep going.

Sorry for reading that wrong. Happy to repick if necessary

Ermocito has the 1956 Tigers who provide solid options at 3B SS and OF. They provide very little pitching. He also has the 36 Browns who also provide little pitching and similar solid players at the same positions 3B SS and OF while also providing a decent 1B.

I now gift you the not so mighty 1926 Brooklyn Robins. This team provides almost no help on offense other than a middling Babe Herman. You get one solid pitching option in Jesse Page but the rest of the staff is pretty bad. Good luck.
