No Restrictions Tournament ($1,213 in prizes) Topic

The actual number contributed to the prize pool ended up being $1,527.95. Ozo has been MIA and unfortunately there was never a payout structure finalized before the tournament started. Rather than let this drag out or turn into a debate, we’re going to step in and wrap it up cleanly.

We’re using a standard, widely accepted tournament payout structure for the top 8:

1st – 30% – $458.38
2nd – 20% – $305.59
3rd – 14% – $213.91
4th – 10% – $152.80
5th – 8% – $122.24
6th – 7% – $106.96
7th – 6% – $91.68
8th – 5% – $76.39

Total: $1,527.95

This is a common format used across a lot of competitive tournaments (DFS, Poker, etc.) and felt like the most fair, neutral way to handle it given the situation.

If anyone has a strong objection, speak now - otherwise we’ll process payouts in the next 48 hours. These payouts will be gift certificates which are exempt from the 50% credit cap.

Appreciate everyone who played, and congrats to the top 8. If you’re thinking about running your own tournament, do it - we’re flexible and happy to help make it happen. Just submit a support ticket and we can work with you.

Thanks for taking care of this WIS. It's been a while since I bought some new teams and I just noticed the change in how credits can be applied (restricted/unrestricted). That's really annoying for long term users who have accumulated a lot of credits. Please reconsider this. It's really unfair to change the rules partway through the game. I think you're going to lose some long time customers because of this restricted use of credits. Please go back to the old system.
