Ax Man always seems to know when he can afford to allow a run; Brewers beat Pittsburgh for second straight night as Braunie and Fielder hit back-to-back homers. Brewers now 10-9 with one to play in this "all-important" 20-games-in-20-nights-with-16-at-home stretch before the Break.

If that doesn't say "IN IT TO WIN IT!!!" I don't know what does.

Ax Man gives up another run, but Corey Hart blasts a two-run walkoff to win it. Brewers sweep Pittsburgh.

Brewers GM Doug Melvin has reportedly told the Giants that he wants either LHP Jonathan Sanchez or LHP Madison Baumgarner if he is to trade Corey Hart.

OF Lorenzo Cain called up for real this time; Doug Davis, recently returned from some heart lining virus thing, was put back on the DL after one ML start with elbow tendinitis. It remains to be seen whether he will actually play or if Grandpa Ken will continue throwing Carlos Gomez out there.

Brewers rough up my fantasy team pitcher Tommy Hanson and the Braves bullpen, Trevor protects a six-run lead and Milwaukee wins 9-3.

Ax Man with a four-out save and the Brewers win their second straight in Atlanta, 6-3, breaking the game open with a five-run seventh.

Tom Haudricourt reports that the Brewers have not received a legitimate trade offer for either Fielder or Hart as of this morning. I suspect neither one will be moved. In fact, my guess would be that Fielder remains a Brewer through the end of 2011 and walks as a FA.

I have a hard time believing that will happen given the fact that the Brewers likely won't be in contention this season or next, and the fact that Carlos Lee was traded before he hit FA.

But we're IN IT, baby!!! We're only eight games under now. ROLLING!!!!!

Manny gives up 10 runs, Brewers lose the series finale.

Still, it's hard to imagine Doug will give up on his dream that these guys will rip off a 25-5 stretch like the White Sox did.

All we need is Doug Davis, Latroy Hawkins, and Jody Gerut back and we'll be ready to go on a run.

Chris Capuano, given a start due to Doug Davis' latest trip to the DL, earns his first ML win since 2007 (that's right, 2007) as the Brewers win 3-1 at Pittsburgh.

Yes, it was the Pirates.. but still!
