Have you ever gone 24 hours without eating anything?

I would have to use "physical harm", to myself or others, as the guideline.

I climbed on top of a shipping container and held a piece of wood between two of them while a driver backed into the other. The wood broke, I managed to get most of my hand out of the way and lost the tips of two fingers. Drove myself to the emergency room, not really understanding the full extent of damage. Had to convince the doctor that my fingers worked and didn't need to be amputated. Since one of the fingers was splayed open, I could see the muscles and ligaments working while I flexed them while saying "No, look, I can move them. It's just the skin that's all torn up!"

That was really, really stupid and I'm fortunate to still have two hands.

Several times. I decided to "cleanse my system" and had nothing but water for 72 hours once.

do you know i've done that same thing but with beer instead?
2/3/2010 10:32 AM
I've probably done it with beer more than once. But, if you're drunk, you don't even think about food.

I've got 24 men on my Rookie-league roster with three draftees still considering whether they want to go to college or not and two IFAs mulling over my offers.. RL season starts tomorrow in pm2 cycle.. will Simmy start making offers to other IFAs or recognize that I've got offers in place to get up to 28?

hand or right hand? And how has losing two fingertips affected the way you do things?

Simmy will fill your roster. He does not care about your future plans.

LH. Index and middle. There isn't a great deal of finger gone. Maybe a 1/4 inch. I've still got a nail on both. In the 6 weeks it took before the bandages came off, I learned to do everything with my pinkie/ring fingers. Tie shoes, type, etc., etc. So I pretty much still do the same. The two injured fingers don't have full feeling, I tell people it's like having your fingers heavily wrapped in cellophane, so it's probably better that way. They're fully functional so things that requires the full hand, holding a bat, picking up a box, whatever, is no different.

does the lack of some finger make any difference when you rub one out?
2/3/2010 12:21 PM
Does somebody give a ****?
2/3/2010 12:53 PM
I'm a righy.

We all give *****.

What's a "righy"?

The Transportation Sec'y testified in Congress this morning:

LaHood said in congressional testimony Wednesday morning that owners of recalled Toyota vehicles should stop driving them until repairs can be made.

"We need to fix the problem so people don't have to worry about disengaging the engine or slamming the brakes on or put it in neutral," LaHood said at a House Appropriations panel hearing in response to questions from a lawmaker. "If anybody owns one of these vehicles, stop driving it and take it to a Toyota dealer."

How are you supposed to get it to the dealer if you don't drive it? Should I invest in a towing operation?

It's "righty" to most people but, if you weren't paying attention, people who type with their ring and pinkie fingers sometimes miss a "t".

That would be a better option than pushing it.
