When I saw the headline of the letter to the editor in the March 28 newspaper (“Trump and supporters bear blame for crisis”), I threw the paper down in disgust but then decided to go ahead and read it.

Then after I read it, I debated writing this letter, but I couldn’t let the lies continue about President Donald Trump. The president was on top of this whole pandemic whereas the local and state governments were slow in recognizing the danger.

No, President Trump did not slash the budget to the National Institutes of Health. He did not slash the budget to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He did not dismantle a pandemic team and fire the scientists.

All these accusations have been investigated and found to be completely untrue — lies fed to an ignorant, blind, Trump-hating Democrat Party by a lying, Trump-hating media. Before spewing out accusations like this, it might be a good idea to check your sources carefully.

And BTW, I'm not sure what you "linked" us to, but......... for me, personally, I'm not much into caring about random letters to the editor from random folks.........anybody can spew anything........on either side............I'm interested in actual purposeful "lies" by actual professionals with a platform who attempt to spin by lying rather than doing their JOB.

I could claim Donald J. Trump did (anything) and know it was untrue and it really doesn't make much of a difference.........I don't because I try and have some personal integrity and TRY not to purposefully lie or spin. But it wouldn't be much of a deal IF I did it, right?
But some newsperson or network? That's a different deal.

It's why I think Hannity should be tarred and feathered.

When I say Donald J. Trump is a con man, that's not lying. That's my judgment and my opinion, based on what I do know.
