Instead of Low vs High Cap...my split is easily by size of player pool available. The Small player pool leagues (80, 90, 100) treated me well, all 3 won 85+ games and made the playoffs, while my Large player pool leagues saw just one team (not surprisingly the 120 league, probably the smallest pools of the Large ones) finish above .500. Another way to think about it is Research leagues versus Non-Research.

I got lucky and all 3 of my teams are in the 2nd round now. still need some people above me in the standings to have some subpar playoffs though.

msleath... 517 + 39 = 556. You're looking pretty solid, assuming your 3 teams don't get swept in round 2. Remember, the benchmark is 561 points.

arrgghhh...just lost a big game 5 by 1 run after being up 2 games to 1........this game is perverse........

my 90 mil Rockies blow a 2-0 first round lead to knock me out of contention. amazingly, three of the five games were 1-0 affairs.

well, I'm SOL. my $70M team got swept, losing 3 games by 4 total runs. seems like just a few days ago (i.e., 5) I was sitting at a solid 21st...

As of 10/07 a.m., 67 of the 96 first round series have been completed. Most of the remaining 29 series should be completed by this evening. One league's playoffs is starting this afternoon (b/c 2 tie-breaker games had to be played). Once all the first round series are completed, I will post an update. (I will not include results from round 2 in this update).

i had 4 playoff teams, at best i will have 2 of them make it to round 2.

There are a few owners who have long-shot chances to advance to round 2.

markeking had two teams advance and a third still playing.

These owners would need two World Series wins or three WS appearances.
