Do they have to be 70+? And are you projecting again? Hasn't your initial projections been adjusted, by you, by 40%?

You shouldn't project. Just look at what you see.

Additionally, I showed you a FI that improved 4-5 points a season. Won't a 50 become a 70 after 5 seasons of that?

Only one above a 50 and that was Dusty, he won't stay as a fielding coach for 5 seasons. If you can project them to be a fielding coach for 5 seasons I can project them desiring to be a hitting coach based on my experience.

So you just want everyone to have an 80+ FI?

Can I get 5 aces for my pitching staff? That would be SWEET!!!

But, if hitting coaches aren't needed, and you can check the coaches we have, why do you think all 8 guys will be hired as hitting coaches?

Aren't you saying that there are way too many options at HC?

Also, all 10 were 45+ FI. 8 were under 50 years of age. None were over 60. They'll be around awhile.

You already showed in Moonlight Graham that all hitting coaches have a 80+ in Hitting.

And?

When I say value I mean ratings. I don't want to see players improving in line with all their abilities except fielding. The consequences will be realism in stats then WIS will have to change something in game to make up for the poor field play.

It was proven, in another thread, that HBD teams commit 1 extra error every 18 games over MLB. Considering how many owners play the slugger over the glove man, I'd say that's a little low.

What proof do you have that poor field play exists now? Or that it will occur in the future?

If you'll be honest and say you want 80+ FI for everyone(as everyone has HC/PC at 80+), I'll stop. Coach hiring is laughably easy right now, and that's fine, but, if we want to ensure everyone has good coaching, I'd suggest we just do away with it.

Guess what? At the spots where most prospect improvement occurs, the fielding coach is far and away the best coach. If anything, it will lead to better "realism" - or at least development equality - if fielding coaches aren't all 80+. Your minor league hitting coaches aren't all rated 80+ are they?

No, as a matter of fact, you don't have anyone teaching you minor leaguers hitting at an 80+ clip, or pitching at an 80+ clip, but lo and behold, you do have someone teaching fielding to them at an 80+ clip. Maybe if your doomsday scenario happens, they'll actually get equal coaching during the prime development years - 55 to 70 IQ in hitting, pitching, AND fielding.
