Why bring back Vazquez when he imploded in 2004? With the open OF spot, are Holliday, Bay, & Damon likely candidates or will it be filled with a lesser player like DeRosa or Gardner?

Vazquez is an innings eater. With Burnett an injury risk and Pettite being 72 years old, they need another 200 IP guy as insurance. Vazquez fits that role. I don't think Damon is getting 3y/40m+ like he wants. I think the Bay/Holliday ship has sailed. I'm wondering if Nady is in mix.

Yanks seem intent on making Chamberlain a SP.
