Not that I am aware of.  Patiently waiting.

still waiting on their reply.  My ticket was "upgraded" on Friday..  If I don't hear back by the end of tomorrow, I'll probably send a follow-up message on the same ticket

Most of the time any ticket that is upgraded won't be acted upon on the weekend.

Yes, it is 5th grade math.

You're changing the result of a game.  You are not adding games to the equation  Changing a win to a loss doubles the effect.  5x2=10

It's not conventional thinking but it's very accurate.
Jesus, Mike, this is embarrassing.

Were you sick or something? You are way off your game.

Did we ever get a confirmation on this?

if anyone has a world that just rolled they could probably just check to see if the service days carried over from last season.

ok they finally got back to me guys (I asked for updates a couple of times over the course of the week with no response).  They said they updated the Critical News thread today with the news that they forgot..  and apparently the update has been in the system already without anyone knowing..

so yeah end result...they did finally change it to continue the service day count rather than resetting it to zero after seasons.

I guess they did change it, though the explanation is still somewhat confusing

The way this is described in the Critical News post, it sounds like if you have someone up for all 176 days then you could add more than 1.000 years of time to the clock, since all days in excess of 172 carry over.  Is that correct?

Let's say a player gets to 161 days, and then plays full time every year after that.  After year 2, he would have 1.165, and then after year three it would be 2.169, and then 4.001?  He would essentially skip from 2 to 4 service years and immediately be eligible for arb.

I am hoping and assuming that admin didn't mean that you can accrue more than 1.000 years of service in a season.

It's actually flawed in the opposite direction...if a player starts a season with 0.161 and spends all 176 days in the majors, upon rollover he will be set to 1.000.  So you can actually demote him to AAA for the first 20 games of the following seasons and get another 1.9 seasons to count as one season toward his arb clock.  If he still has options, you can effectively get 5.5 seasons out of a player before he hits arb1.

There are 4 extra days being added per season.  When my league rolled, Jim Carlson was sitting at 3.004 after being at 2.000 going into last year, he's at 3.014 now.  Ronnie Snow, is at 1.040 right now after 10 regular season days this year plus 26 two years ago plus the 1.004 for a full season last year.  So you can't get away with the 5.5 years, but you are going to have to keep a guy down longer than 20 days in order to push out his clock.
