Interesting idea for a conference Topic

I checked with CS - they tell me that by season 30 my loyalty shouldn't present a problem, so I am going to stay at Assumption next season and join y'all wherever we end up after that.  I'm not sure we'll make the NT this season at Assumption, so that prestige will drop some, but we ought to make it back next season if I know anything about coaching this game...

If when you guys move to d2 thre is room, I might try to jump in;  I had a team in Phelan a ways back and am still qualified for a number of d2 teams.

So, are people doing this? Has everyone who needs one got a D III team? I am thinking of keeping my other Phelan team, so if this is going to happen, I'll create an alt for this experiment, but I need to know that it is actually happening?

dacj, I dropped my DI Hawaii team in Phelan and am just waiting for everyone to become DII eligible.  I am still planning on doing it.

Perhaps we can get an updated roll call as to those who are on board...

I'm still in.  I also plan to wait until everyone gets to DII.

Signed up in D3. Will be ready to move to D2 next season.

I'm still in.  I just took over Manchester.

I'm in, I took over a D3 team in the Northwest conference (Chapman) under aejones1 user ID.

ok, I just took over D 3 Wisconsin something or other river - my id for this will be "thedacj501"

I will be if once you guys move into d2 a slot is available.

Do we know what conference we are going to?  I checked and I found 4 empty-ish conferences and I thought I'd present the options:

Gulf South-Only 2 human coached teams.  They are coached by tomcecil and nighthawk481.  Not sure whether either is looking to move up to d1, but tomcecil could move up if he made the NT this year and nighthawk could've moved up already, but this will only be his 6th year so he might still be looking to move up.

Penn St.-3 human coached teams.  Coached by bigred19, rollallthewa, and btgunn.  bigred19 probably won't be in a position to move up soon (rebuild), rollallthewa has been at his school for 25+ seasons and btgunn just won a NC at his school, so this conference probably isn't a good place to go.

S. Atlantic-3 human coached teams.  Coached by hubie72, faztradamus, and mattstarks.  This is hubie72's 2nd season at his school and 4th in the world.  Looks like he's trying to move up.  faztradamus is taking over a rebuild with 9 open scholarships this season so I don't know whether he'd want to leave that school because he probably won't be in a position to move up anytime soon with that rebuild.  mattstarks has been at his school for 6 seasons so he has had the chance to move up and he may still want to do it, but this conference probably isn't as good of an option as the Gulf south.

Sunshine-3 human coached teams.  They are coached by sihrig1974, dramsey911, and flexbomb1169.  sihrig is entering his 3rd season he may be looking to move up.  dramsey appears to be a ghost ship as he's gone 5-22 and 1-26 the last two seasons and with 6 open shollies he has no one considering and no one signed.  Flexbomb is in his first season at his school after leaving Nebraska so he might be looking to move up again soon.  Personally this one interests me for the 3 Puerto Rico schools and I'm doing internationals (will Puerto Rico count as international?) but my interest here is purely self-serving.

I would enjoy the Sunshine Conference because I am from Florida and am personally familiar with many of the schools in RL.  I would probably try for Nova Southeastern since in went K-12 at the university's grade school complex (Nova Elem-High).  Having the Puerto Rico schools would be interesting as well...and I would say NO, the Puerto Rico recruits would not count as Internationals.

The only drawback is that we are stuck in a corner of the country and would make national recruiting more expensive.  However, overall, the Sunshine would get my vote although I really would not complain with any conference.

Let's not mess up the Penn St Conference if they have a National Championship-caliber team.

Let's go Gulf South - I'll call dibs on Southern Arkansas - they'll have lots of open scholies and have 3 SGs on the roster coming back so I can get a quick jump on my "theme"

I could live with the Gulf South.  My first choice would have been Lincoln Memorial but since that is one of the two human teams, I'll try for Christian Brothers.

I guess I will go with Henderson St. Though I would be interested in West Georgia if the current coach were to move up in the next 2 offseasons.
