How To Rebuild A Disaster 2: Season 17-? Topic

I don't use the tanking strategy that you're so fond of.

As far as bothering you, block me.  You'll never HAVE to read a post by me again.  But, always remember, I'll be talking about you and tanking behind that "You are blocking the author of this post, MikeT23."    I think that would bother you more than seeing what I post.

no need to block you - I actually am mostly amused by what you post in the forums, as you attempt to be a bully to make up for your personal shortcomings, and you have an opinion as to everything and willalways attempt to spin every time you are proven wrong into your own personal victory. you do realize that the "Ask MikeT23" thread is for the most part a complete mockery of the fact that you believe you have an answer for everything, don't you?

But anyhow, you should be proud of the fact that you have won the title of biggest attention-whore forum bully on an internet site. Maybe put that on your resume next time you go looking for a job.

YES!!! The "You say mean things to make yourself feel better about your low self-esteem" card twice in two days!  I LOVE that card.

It is a fun card to see being played.    Especially from the guy who started the "Most championships" thread and then let it go, due to "lack of time", once he was no longer winning championships.

While you can call me an attention whore, I'm not starting threads to bring attention to myself.   Can anyone named csherwood say the same?

Sorry, Mike. Game over, you already lost.
9/17/2010 1:41 PM
Does that mean I won?
9/17/2010 1:42 PM
I lost because you stopped updating the "Most Championships" thread when you stopped winning championships?    I'll be honest, I don't even know what game we're playing if that means I lost.

Yes, deano, you won the "Guy who wears the most vests but gets laid the least" contest.

I already won that yesterday...I want to win something new.
9/17/2010 2:53 PM
Sorry.  You're only good at one thing.  BUT YOU'RE A CHAMP!!!

It's like Bruce Lee (or maybe somebody else) said: I don't care about the 1000 moves you have practiced 1 time.  I care about the 1 move that you practiced 1000 times.

I'm the latter, biotch.

Full on tanking in ABU and Addicted users.
As stated earlier, AU has anti-tanking rules in effect. Anyone with less than a .350 win % over 2 years leaves, no exceptions. Last season we rolled with all 32 owners returning. This year we had more openings and it seemed it would take too long to fill privately given the current paucity of veteran owners looking for new teams. So we went public. The rules were made clear to all new owners and are being strictly enforced. We almost lost an owner who had been in the league since the beginning due to the rule, but he did all he could to make sure he won enough games, so he stays. If he hadn't he would have left, which would have been a shame because he's always been solid with many winning teams. But the rules apply to all.

What I read here is:  Please take this sh*tty team in my world, but dont make the necessary moves to actually contend.

If an owner hires a GM to manage a previous year, 52 win team, he wont usually get fired for winning 49 in the next season, and will definatley get credit for bumping up to 70+ in the 2nd season..

Anyone who ever builds a 49 win team (in HBD or real life) should be fired 100% of the time.
After further thought, I agree..
Guess the Mets should have fired Casey Stengel after their first season.

I'm personally getting tired of reading all this crap about anti tanking. How does any average (joe) enjoy takeing some garbage team, without having a chance of creating a decent farm system for at least a couple of seasons?

I agree with csherwood, as long as your not fielding players with 0% stamina who the F cares? Give Noobs like me and others a chance to build and learn!

Yeah, that sounds reasonable

The people who care are the people who aren't very interested in watching owners roll out 35 win teams while transferring 30m to IFA every season.   Tanking is a fine way to build a fantastic, young team.     Whether it's intentional, ignorance or inexperience that causes it, there's no fun in five 120 win teams and five 120 loss teams in a world with the 120 loss teams finishing 1-22 in their hunt for the first pick.

As for learning, join worlds that don't expect you to win games if you don't think you can learn fast enough to win 1/3 of your games.
