Cannot believe he fell this far, but I absolutely cannot pass him up - Magic Johnson.
This is the guy I've been shaking my head over since about the 10th pick.  I can see the justification for taking Oscar as the first PG in this draft, but it's not an open and shut case, and both players really coulda shoulda gone several picks earlier - especially Magic.  He does everything I want a PG to do in this sim except shoot 3s, and he has one season near the end of his career where he even does that.  And he's one of the very few players who doesn't bother me by having high TOs, because his upsides more than offset that downside.
His TO's aren't that bad when you consider how he dominates the ball, and the assists that he turns out....when I saw that I was within 8 picks of Magic I started getting my hopes up

Maybe, depending on how you want to build your team and the other players you want to use.  His usage is pretty high for lots of potential lineups.

I was THIS close to taking Magic at #12....it came down to Duncan, Olajuwon and Magic

Damn you jweb.  I'll take Jerry Lucas

Magic is also a high usage PG for many of his seasons.  He's not a 1st tier usage guy, but most of his seasons are 3rd tier, which is fine as a second option (and with the way he gets to the line, is about the best 3rd tier option out there for getting to the line.  Definitely as a PG).  As long as bluenote doesn't get ridiculously redundant with his other picks, he's in great shape for the next 8 or 9 seasons.  He doesn't even really need another 3rd tier usage player among his starters (and definitely doesn't need a 2nd).  One would be fine, but trust me, Lebron THRIVES as being the only high usage player.  As long as double-teaming is broke, anyway.  And I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We will go on the clock the day after we finish the 1st round.

jcred, if it makes you feel better, I really wanted Lucas to fall to me in round 2.

Well, at first it made me feel better.  Then it made me feel I look Lucas 8 spots too early!

I'm pretty certain you didn't take him too early, and I'm pretty certain you know you didn't ;)

I am beginning to question my trade.  My tummy's starting to hurt.

There's a definite advantage to being where you're at.  It's just easier to build around certain guys, but you can definitely build a sweet team from there.  You'll be okay.

I'll throw in a lifetime supply of Tums as well   Ash is right though, I can think of several players I would take at 24 and 25 that I would be more than happy with (but I'm still sticking with The Role Model...).

I'll take Julius Erving
