I would enjoy a follow up where all of the guys picked in rounds 1-5 were blacklisted...
A master blaster blacklist league?  That would be interesting

i know last year the top of the draft had first crack at pf AND c....didnt help them all that much...with the salary cap and the depth of good owners i dont think its that big of an advantage
then you're crazy - like I said earlier I would build an open team at this cap with the players available to the #1 spot
from the pg and pf picks yea...but you would have better options from a open team at the sg and c spots than what they will have...and who knows what will be available at the sf spot and if some of the best sf options would even fit well

dude he picked the best SG in the game (best guard period probably) and he's going to pick the one of the best bigs in the game (next) if he ever shows up (unless he's retarded) and then in a couple rounds he's going to pick a top SF (and I'll site mail you with my guess who that will be)

if I were building an open team at this cap I would have a utility PG like Kidd - I would have Lebron as my high usage player - I'd have a utility big and the guy he's about to pick - my SF is the only thing that might differ from what will be the case

Please do.  I'm hard pressed to see a top SF lasting that far.

there is no kidd still out there at sg though

there are still a handful of utility Gs who can do the job quite well though

last season was: sf-pg-sg-c-pf.... not what was just said. ncih made it to the finals at the no. 12 spot... and shapandrew made it at the number 5 slot, and why shap did so well, was because wade had been forgotten and shap snagged him.

what if rather than being 100% eligible it was position listed?
4/23/2011 4:04 PM
but by doing that, monk, it just shifts the emphasis in another direction. doesn't change the effect much. lebron just goes first in the sf round, rather than the pg round, etc. the 100% rule gives us a little bit more flexibility shaping squads. or am i missing something?

oh, man, it's 4 am... going to bed. see ya tomorrow.

It would take depth from some rounds.. and make rd 5 better.
4/23/2011 4:09 PM
well, it's worthy of consideration. i'm open to trying to make this league work the best way possible.

I personally like the 100 % effective method. By straight positions 3 #1 picks would be even better.

Why dont we drop the cap to 42M? Everyone would love that

we were both wrong.....it was sf-pf-pg-sg-c

also shap didnt have wade(calcutta did) and i was actually at the #12 spot.... i think i lost in the conference finals

was it shap who won it all?
