No, they said "No FPG were broken" and "No punishment = No violation" and the like. That is saying "Cheating is acceptable."

But, since you're Algernon, you won't understand.
I don't know who that is.

I believe your twisting around things people have said to support your opinion. You combine snip-its of things different people have said and are now rolling them together. Then you misconstrue what they were trying say.

No, I'm using their exact words.

OK expert on everything Mike. How would you eliminate it?
Not sure add nothing to anything mully.

For WifS to do it, I expect a massive program change that would note IP addresses and credit card purchases. They're not going to do it. At least I don't think they will.

The first thing that needs to be done is policy change. The "1000 mile" rule is obsolete. Do away with it. No one can have two teams in the same world. I don't like that, if someone wants 13-15 teams, I'd like them to have them, but that the first thing that has to be done. Since I'm not counting on WifS to do much, if anything, it comes down to the users to police ourselves. And that requires an attitude change. I'm not sure that happens when respected owners like chapel say "It's not that big a deal. You can still beat them" or others pipe in with "No FPG were broken" and the like. No one seemed to like seble saying "Cheaters are gonna cheat" but that seems to be the prevailing attitude. THAT has to change for anything to happen.

Which, of course, is why I started this thread. When I laid it out, it was "Oh, we wouldn't tolerate that" yet, in practice, it's "Not a big deal."
So...family members? No one from the same family allowed to play under your suggestion? Part of cheaters gonna cheat is its impossible to enforce.
I dont write software, but I assume that WIS could write rather easily write software that compares

1. IP addresses
2. credit cards
3. login and on line activity times

If IP addresses and or credit cards overlap, the software generates a report - the staff could look at it say once a month?

Then look at login times and recruiting behavior. It would be odd if parent and child consistently logged in within a few minutes of each other, for example.

One sitemails the coaches - are you the same person? if yes, please drop one team. if no, please explain log in pattern. Please explain how team B recuited internationals without scouting them. Does not seem hard - and would have no effect on actual relatives who dont cheat.

Honestly I don't have 2nd teams and don't care if some do use it for scouting at the D1 level. If you have 2 D1 schools and you use them only for extra scouting power you will hear nothing from me.

The only reason I will call out someone as a cheater is if they
1) obviously use a D1 school to scout for a lower level school (D2/D3)
or
2) they use those teams in combination to recruit and deter/harm opponents.

I think the dice roll in recruiting has limited the effect that other advantages multiple team coaches have IMO. Still wonder why they don't have teams in all the world's before doubling up but then maybe......(best left unsaid)
