I have drawn the assignment of delivering the first screw pick. That means that I have the easiest job of everyone - just pick the team with the absolute worst possible roster. I believe that to be the 1943 Philadelphia Athletics. With only one decent pitcher and one very good pinch hitter, there will be a lot of dead wood making evil_twin's opening roster.

When I look at the 1973 Baltimore Orioles I don't see a weakness. The lineup is very solid with a defence that is strong up the middle, where it counts. The true strength of this team, however, is its pitching staff. So my goal is to present fire13 with a team that does not further strengthen the pitching staff and present some alternatives to fielders in key positions up the middle.

So fire13, please accept the 1953 St Louis ccccc Browns. It could be worse, the '53 Browns ranked 121 out of 134 on my list.
