If/when the poll closes and resubmitting is the chosen outcome, can we have a strict deadline on resubmitting them with an eye toward hopefully getting them posted tonight?

If you want to go timed tomorrow, then you better hope that we just forget about adding 2019 players and just go with our existing keepers.

Otherwise, I fear we might either have to restart the whole damn thing due to some owners being upset about not getting the opportunity to switch to a different team or just plain not wanting to continue at all (and we'd have to find new owners and likely restart again anyway).

I voted against changing the rules. I am not a fan of changing rules once the process starts ( in this case AKA franchise draft ). Managers have made a decision based on the current parameters. Now with that said if the leagues votes to make changes I good with that assuming that the winning proposal
receives a minimum of 50%
If no proposal receives the majority of the league members approval, then on the interest of fairness ,no action should be taken.
If the premises is that the majority of owners dedicate decision on changes, then any change should at minimum require 50% of the votes.
Its becomes a bad precedent with we make changes without the majority agreeing on the changes.

I'm ok with whatever and I appreciate all the effort it takes to try and make 23 other random people on the internet happy.

This is not entirely untrue and considering Sin has all the keepers, I would be quite happy if they were just posted and we moved on with our lives. There's a lot of consternation around including the 2019 seasons, and honestly I'm pretty sure alleyviper was joking with his post. Lincoln makes a fair point regarding plurality and it would be in keeping with Rule V tradition to kick the can down the road and then never acknowledge it.

I appreciate Sin trying to include everyone's thoughts and opinions though. It's an unenviable task.

If I had even known that there was a polling option available in these forums that would have made past discussions much different. I initially voted to resubmit keepers just based on the poll options, but after sitting on it I think I'd honestly rather just not do anything and move forward with the season. We should then make an effort to put a poll up at the beginning of any future season where new players are pending to get out in front of it.

Has anybody looked at the 2019 player stats? In my humble opinion I don't see any player that isn't already a major pick have any big improvement in their stats. I don't see any player that would make you chose a team other than what we all have picked.

If it's such turmoil for some owners I think we should just carry on as were and ban 2019 players and just post the keepers and lets go.

I think it's pretty extreme to say we should redo the franchise draft. but it definitely seems to me that there's 2019 players who could change some franchises' choice of protects. (not my own franchise, for whatever it's worth.)

You say that, but this is a theme where guys like Omar Moreno and Matty Alou and Carlos Zambrano have been drafted so I'm sure there are some people who don't share that sentiment.

Yeah the 2019 crop doesn't change much. Houston gets an even weirder Verlander season, I guess? Like there isn't much here.

A corollary to that makes me want to change my vote to just "Ignore 2019 players, post the keepers, let's go and worry about it next leg."

I get the impression folks are trending toward "forget 2019, lets get going." So hopefully when Sin comes to check the final tally, he can see we've gone rogue and just post the keepers now.

Yep like many others in this thread I initially voted to resubmit keepers but the more I think about the potential delays and the fact that others could have picked a different franchise, I think it's best sin just posts keepers and we keep going as is.
