I'm shocked by how few screw ups there have been. I had 22 players listed as first round worthy and I thought I had a good chance of getting two of them with picks 24,25. Now I'm not sure I will even get one.

no one agreed to this and i am not even suggesting it, but it would be cool to have a real champion team

east and west finals teams from each league and then the 4 teams with the best record after that. im sure speculating is even better

I know ash is doing some writeups, but this is a special league so I will at least give out some kind of first round breakdown as well. I am that excited.

Yes, this. There hasn't been one pick where I was like "that was stupid" yet.

There's been one pick where I just was completely not a fan of, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole here. I'm just posting what a player is good at and maybe bad at. Too many issues have popped up in the past where I **** on a pick. Also harder to do that here because it's unknown territory.

btw please, do any & all evals you want! I just made the thread b/c dh asked twice for someone to do it. There's no way I'm keeping up with this over the weekend, and no way in hell I keep going after round 5 or so. Besides, I tend to show my hand sometimes too much when I do these, and I really don't want to completely **** the bed in my first competitive league in forever. Progland is fun, but draft leagues have always been the toughest test in the sim.

Harden was the only head scratcher but dBKC is so good at this **** that I immediately trusted the pick.

FWIW, if you are evaluating picks and think one made by me is crap, please feel free to say so. I'm not sensitive and I am trying to get good at this.

I remember joining the ODL for the first time and taking Barkley high in the first round. Much higher than anybody else said I should. Almost everybody said I picked him too early. I was told that picking Gilmore round 2 with him just wouldn't work. It felt like nobody took me seriously.


Yeah, things changed after that. And yeah, that is a screenshot from 12 years ago that still exists on my external hard-drive lol. I used to keep extensive records!

Sometimes, a fresh perspective from what everybody else is doing is good. That's not to say that I'm right. and Harden is an amazing pick and that people have just been using him wrong...

...but maybe he's an amazing pick and people have just been using him wrong!

(I also could be washed up as all get out)

I am admittedly in the deep end of the pool here and am paying my money for the enjoyment, experience and EDUCATION.....critiques and insights are welcomed (not that there appears to be a choice! lol)
