A sampling of my pm games from 12/07... You can't make this up.
1894-99 Orioles - Lose 11-6
Up 6-3, give up 2 runs in 8th, 1 run in 9th (w/2 outs) and 5 runs in 10th
.
1901-13 Naps - Lose 10-3
Up 3-1, give up 2 runs in 9th (w/2outs), and 7 runs in 11th.
.
1903-21 Highlanders - Lose 8-6
I tie it with one run in bottom of 9th, have first & third nobody out - don't score. Give up 2 in 11th
.
1910-23 Yankees - Lose 5-2
Up 2-1 in 9th, two outs, nobody on, HBP, single, single. Tie game. Give up 3 in 12th. Bottom of twelfth, we leave bases loaded as 1921 Ruth and 1923 Ruth both make outs during that inning.
.
1956-62 Yankees - Lose 3-1
Tied thru eleven, two outs, nobody on, single, walk, walk, single. Ironically, this was against a similar team (57-63 Yankees). They have a much better record than my Yankees team. Will need to do a *deep dive* into why, although 6-11 vs 13-7 in 1-run games is a big part that.
.
1981-00 Cardinals - Lose 7-5
Tied 5-5 thru 9, just another extra inning loss as we give up two runs in 10th
.
2013-18 Dodgers - Lose 5-4
Two outs, nobody on, we give up a solo HR in 9th to blow a 4-3 lead. Nine innings later, we lose by 1 in 18.
.
So for those keeping score at home, that's 0-7 in extra innings (allowing 22 extra-inning runs), plus we had the 9th-inning lead in four of those games. Ironically, only one of these game will be recorded as a 1-run loss. I challenge anybody to produce a worst one-session record in extras.
