yicks...like already mentioned i believe it was cap/playing time (both his lack of, and more for the young guys) related - but would have liked to seen more in return. A higher draft pick specially to restock because of all the picks dealt away in recent years.

Looks like the Flyers have worse cap issues than us.

Flyers are looking good and under the cap.

- there is not a better 7 on D than the flyers
- love the zherdev signing - check him out on youtube (behind the back passes turned shots, jukes at the blue line, etc)
- will miss gags but he was gone next season anyways
- goalie sitch sucks - I expect homer to address that come the trade deadline
- everyone else but asham is back.
- best of all - lavy will be the coach all season.

I hear lord stanley calling.  hawks fans - enjoy that cup while you still have it.

gagne gone to the lightning.  for matt walker and a fourth round pick.  thought he'd be worth more than that.  especially in the final year of his contract.  :>

by that point we were over the cap which brings down his trade value.  gags will be missed.

Looking at 2 weeks until the Flyers face the Devils & Kovalchuk in a pre-season matchup. These questions pop into my mind...

Can Briere & Leino bring their post-season success to the regular season?

What can Zherdev bring to this team?

Can Carter & Richards score consistently enough to drive this team?

Can JVR & Giroux take it to the next Level?

Who is going to ultimately be the goaltender? Leighton, Boosh, Backlund, somebody else?

at least I can still wear my Boooooooooooosh tshirt I got last year! ha
