Whew. Glad Richards didn't hold his shot in the Boston game over the weekend. We would have lost the shootout for sure.

Penguins W-streak ends at 12 !!!!  Flyers #1 in the east!!

Playoff-type atmosphere in the CoreSt...I mean FU... I mean Wach...I mean Wells Fargo Center last night!

Makes me think the Flyers are for real and not just last season's Cinderella. Zherdev has been a nice addition to the mix.

The Pens are so darn good at playing Bylsma's system, it didn't matter that I didn't know half of the guys playing for them this season. Fleury was also very good last night. I kept thinking he was going to steal this one.

The flyers were never a cinderella team.  They underperformed for most of last season and then played up to expectations when the playoffs began.  Much like the Red Wings, the Flyers have bottomless pockets, and even though they can only pay the roster an amount governed by the cap, they can spend endlessley into scouting, administration, promotion etc etc etc giving them a clear advantage over most teams. 

A nice run ends with a thud. The defense left Bobrovsky out to dry last night and the Flyers end up getting absolutely tuned-up by the Panthers. (see the recap in the Panthers thread - oh wait...there isn't one).

Yeah.... turned that one off at 4-0.

finally a big win for the flyers after 2 beat downs. 4 points for Richie, 3 for Giroux. Next up Anaheim tonight and big game in D-Town on Sunday.

Pronger just cleared for light skating - we could use him back in the line-up.

Flyers tried to trade a 3rd and a 5th pick for langenbrunner.  would have been a nice fit imo.  

Still a nice home & home win against the Devils.
