I think this comments speaks volumes:

Great journalistic work here, AJ. No hard evidence, just hearsay from a woman whose entire life has been spent desperately seeking attention.

A quote from huffingtonpost.com regarding Favre sexting - "While the report lacks any hard evidence..." - Does this sound like Favre needs Viagra?

Sounds like he's not showing what he wanted to show.

How bad are the Indians pitchers that they missed throwing at Red Sox batters not once but twice?
8/4/2010 3:18 PM
If you follow baseball at all, you already know how bad the Indians pitchers are.

Any who'll ask if anyone cares obviously still cares.

Mike,

If you had an HBD team in an extreme pitchers park such as Tacoma or Burlington, how would you build you offense? Speed and defense? What would you suggest?

if i told you 25 years ago, that a player reaching the 600 home run mark was to be a non story, could you have believed that?
8/4/2010 5:08 PM
I always build a good defense or at least try to.    In the negative homer parks, I'd probably devalue power.  Maybe 1 or 2 boppers because you still have to play on the road.   I'd want guys who walk, a negative park effect won't stop that, guys who steal, every base counts, and guys with good baserunning, because every base still counts.

I wouldn't have believed it 2 years ago.  It would be a much bigger deal if he hadn't been a 'roider.   I think most said "We don't care, Barry.   A-Rod is clean and he'll pass you soon enough!"

What's your take on an openly gay federal judge overturning Proposition 8 in California this afternoon?
8/4/2010 8:13 PM
I haven't really put much, if any, thought into it.   I don't really care who gets married and who doesn't.

How many of A-Rod's homers can be credited to PED's?
8/5/2010 11:29 AM
Assuming he's not full of crap and only started roiding in Texas, I'd say 60-70 were "assisted" homers.   He was a 40 homer guy before Texas.   Because it's easier to maintain muscle than to build it, I'd penalize a few homers AFTER he supposedly stopped roiding.    So there's 36 in Texas that are 'roid-aided and 5 or so each season in NY.  That falls into the 60+ range.

i've tried looking at the past 4 pages of threads in here but can't remember which one it was in. a few of us were discussing the probability of re-signing a guy depending on his patience rating. do you remember which thread it was or what the patience rating has to be in order for a guy to stay?
