In rounds 1 to 3, if you offer the draftee's full demands and he declines to sign, you get a type D comp pick. The exception to this are type B supplemental picks and the supplementary piece of the type A picks. The regular draft pick that you pick up from the type A (the non-supplemental piece) is eligible for type B compensation as long as it's not past the third round.

He had a run-in with previous admin about some issue in a world he was in... they wouldn't allow something he believed would be for the betterment of the game and benefit all owners, not just him... can't remember what the issue was, but it was the last straw for him. Hasn't been seen since.

There's confusion elsewhere as well. https://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?topicID=516882&page=1 reads things damag's way, but it's actually happened my way in Capra. It's hard to read past drafts since they don't explicitly list comp picks, but in season 39 rls had a Type A that didn't sign (#28 overall, his original first pick was #5 and did sign), but he didn't get a Type D in season 40 (his only 1st rd pick in S40 was the #2 overall, his own pick). That was the specific example I thought of when I wrote what I wrote.

Maybe @adlorenz can chime in and tell us how the code actually reads.
Happened in Guinness too.

S45 SD didn't sign #8 pick. I took over and got #9 as a comp pick. Plesac wouldn't sign at #9 in S46. I was expecting to lose the pick, but I got the #10 pick in S47 because Plesac didn't sign.

My regular pick in S46 was #2

My regular pick in S47 was #4

Has anyone ever had there settings for the sim to run there minors change on there own? I always set it when I take over a team and forget about it but recently had it revert back and noticed it after about 30 games when my pitchers where getting 0's. The team is question rolled right around the time we were down for maintenance and was wondering how these could change on there own.

I had amateur draft settings change randomly in a World. I drafted in that World several times with the same settings. All of a sudden they changed to defaults out of nowhere.

Hmmm. But nothing was changed lol.

There is an IFA in my world that has said "Probably won't sign. He's happy playing in his home country". I offered him way more than his asking price and he responded "Unless something changes, I'm moving to your city". Would he ever sign or am I just wasting my time?

He'll sign; as far as I can tell the IFA signing messages are meaningless.

Yeah, all the "Probably won't sign" does is increase his initial asking price. Which we all know is meaningless.

It's been a while since I drafted a player who lists as an undecided. Is there a set % of demands they will ask for in addition to the initial asking price? Say if I sign a guy for 2 million dollars, will he ask for more than 1 million more, or will he go crazy and ask for 2? Help is appreciated as I try to manage a budget!

Ranges from 0-100% increase; I've never seen more than double. I don't know how to predict what increase each draftee will ask for.

Awesome, thank you. That's enough of a guideline to help me out. Appreciate it!
