Trump: Worst President Ever? Topic

Apple Inc. said it will bring hundreds of billions of overseas dollars back to the U.S., pay about $38 billion in taxes on the money and invest tens of billions on domestic jobs, manufacturing and data centers in the coming years.

The iPhone maker plans capital expenditures of $30 billion in the U.S. over five years and will create 20,000 new jobs at existing sites and a new campus it intends to open, the Cupertino, California-based company said Wednesday in a statement.

That's not what he said at all. Trump gets credit for things that HE HANDLES: Foreign relations, internal issues, executive orders, etc. He does not get credit for the economy, and he does not get credit for things like this. If the US does well in the Olympics, Trump can't take credit for that as well.

So, what do you think hundreds of billions means? One hundred? Two Hundred? Three hundred? 10 hundred?

It's funny because Apple is borrowing money to repay promises they made to stockholders right now.

So you think deregulation and a 14% corporate tax cut and a 1 time repatriation tax break have NOTHING to do with the US economy taking off on a new level since Nov 8th? 34,000 manufacturing jobs lost in 2016.... 134,000 gained in 2107... How do you explain that?

The executive orders deregulating almost every industry TRUMP handled. Trump calling out Apple, Boeing, GM, etc on Twitter had no effect on those companies, especially PR-wise? Trump and Walker played a HUGE part in sealing the Foxconn deal in Wisconsin. 13,000 jobs there. What about the tax cut that TRUMP ran on and ended up being almost exactly what he had asked for from day 1... I suppose Trump had nothing to do with this YUUUUGE corporate tax bill that just passed. Consumer confidence is at an all time high.... That's because TRUMP is a businessman and investors like the direction he is taking the economy.

It absolutely does, we will see what happens in the long run. Until someone in business actually follows through on their promises(see tax repatriation act of 2004 and the promises, then the realities), I'll remain skeptical.

I don't trust big business with deregulation. ******* Wells Fargo does stupid **** like open fake accounts for real people. There will be deregulation and then there will be a big fall. Everyone has already forgotten about 2008. History has a tendency to repeat itself.

I wish they would have just let all that **** fail.

Apple Inc. told employees Wednesday that it’s issuing a bonus of $2,500 worth of restricted stock units, following the introduction of the new U.S. tax law, according to people familiar with the matter.
